Zaros maintains his original form (without a mouth, feet, nose, or really much of anything ) because he doesn't give a shit about looking "mortal". He prefers to just hide himself beneath with snazzy robes. I wonder who he hired to design them? Razulei?

Seren gave herself a mouth, nose, feet, breasts ect. when she first met the elves because she wanted to be able relate to them. After her return in The Light Within, she decided to distance herself from them, so presumably gave herself a form closer to her original as a result. Her current form does still have some noticeably mortal traits, but I guess she's more comfortable that way. You never were our brightest star, Khazard. 'Vermin slaughtered like lambs'? What does that even mean?

Mouths are good for two things: eating and vocalization.

When you don't need to do the former and can already accomplish the latter, there is little reason to have a mouth.

That being said, Seren did have a mouth (and might still have one under that bandana), and Zaros could very well have a mouth (the lips could just be less prominent). I think Zaros just likes the mouth piece because it figuratively distances him from everyone around him (he also might be able to link it up with the others in his throne room or elsewhere in the empire to act as a sort of PA system).

I was gonna give a serious answer but Questcaping's is better than anything we can come up with, I think.





Zaros' teeny-weeny ickle mouthpiece is pretty ridiculous though. It kinda ruined the ending of FotG for me. Just too silly. Continual disappointment is the spice of life.
