I bet the first thing you did when you were born into Lumbridge was kill all the men and women around you. You're just now beginning to suspect you might be evil?

Let's face it, the only reason we stop people like Lucien from taking Gielinor is so we can keep it all to ourselves.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

We need to have a moment in the next desert quest where Amascut goes to the sunken pyramid and congratulates Faiza on being able to trick so many adventurers into capturing souls for her, before finally saying how she'll free her and her husband (consume them) so they'll be together at last.

And we still need to know what's on that broken mural. I think it'd be great if the mural betrayed someone in the order betraying the other slayers- but that was destroyed purposefully to keep the ruse up.
"We call it being a hero"
"That's interesting, we call it utter stupidity"

With their souls trapped like this, they also get to functionally live forever.
Admittedly not the best existence. But probably better than some of the other ghost like creatures out there.

Who knows, we may have saved their soul from an even worse fate after death!

And for true Bandosians (Goblins, Hobgoblins, Ogres, Trolls, etc) would this be a form of Valhalla/Nirvana? Even in death, their spirits get the chance to fight a powerful foe, and just get to keep coming back to fight more and more!

*Overly dramatic evil laugh*

*ahem*

Of course we're not evil - we're capturing the souls in order to study them and gain a better insight into how the world, and the afterlife, works. The fact we sometimes have to slaughter a few thousand others to obtain the soul is an unfortunate, but necessary, reality.

As they say, you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs... well, in this case I suppose it's you can't complete a codex without smashing a few heads in.

At least, that's what I tell myself... it's "for science and lore". That makes it okay right? Right?! I'm not a monster! :O

Okay, and it's a tiny bit evil too. :P
If you only do what you can do, you will never be more than you are now.

Good and Evil? I dismiss such notions. There are only actions and consequences.

No but seriously, what we're doing and what Nomad is doing are two different things. He's consuming them, we're just temporarily trapping them, then... what happens to those souls I put in that box anyway?

Only then can they
