for anyone who missed the ester even of 2019 - the Spring Fete.
one of part of the event's quest has you helping the fishing guild to create a brand new meal the Swordsharkuna - a tuna, stuffed into a shark, and then stuffed into a swordfish.

but you needed to help them get permission, because of a horrible catastrophe that made king Roald to ban all multi-stuffed meals - the dreaded Poturducken' Incident.

what do you think happened? everyone talks about this event are shaken to their cores, it was something truly horrific to behold, and probably costed the lives of many innocent people.

I think that they tried stuffing too many meats into one another, to the point that the gory explosion that happened as a result - caused people to vomit in disgust so badly that they died.

what do you think?

Possibility 1: The tastes didn't go well together.
People can have a varied palette/appetite. It's just possible that this particular mix of meats didn't create a savory taste. Maybe even the trolls refused to eat it.

Possibility 2: Cost
We don't see turkey very often. Pigs were on the decline before someone convinced everyone that they could be eaten. We've never seen ducks drop meat.
The shock that everyone had may not have been from the taste of the food, but the size of the bill at the end of the meal. Or worse, the chef made the King see the bill before the meal. The King and everyone expected great things .. and instead ... they got 'meh'. The meal being a disaster because it would've been cheaper to drink half jugs of wine for everyone.

Possibility 3: Poorly cooked
One of the real life challenges of stuffing meats like that is that you run the risk of not properly cooking the inner layers due to how much the heat has to transfer thru.
An inexperienced chef or a miscalculation and you go from a culinary wonder to a massive case of food poisoning.

I mean fundamentally it's pretty evident they created a nuclear bomb given how compressed the tuna/shark/swordfish combo would end up being, I can understand weapons of mass destruction being outlawed!

There was a bit of birth related body horror thrown into the dialog if you played as a female character. I think I remember Penny swearing off pregnancy for several several years. She is probably going to die childless but then again, a life of adventuring is likely rough on the reproductive system anyhow. :P

The dialog transcript on the wiki must have come from someone playing on a male character. Its tamer than I remember, LOL. You guys missed out.
Humility is self-destruction, pride is the destruction of all else. And He said, "
Let there be light.
"
And then there were none .

Wait, really? I don't remember reading anything like that :( Do you remember anything else it said?
You can't read this signature. It's written in invisible inque.
