The Eastern-er lands? Are you sure that if we sailed there, we wouldn't just end up in Tirranwn? I always like new lands to explore, of course, though I'm personally more interested in seeing literally any part of the southern hemisphere for a change.

(I consider the equator as lying at around the latitude of the Void Knights' outpost. The Treasure Trail sextant seems to say the equator runs through the Observatory, but if so I would expect Ardougne, Yannile, and Lumbridge to be a bit more... tropical.)

Based on Postbag from the Hedge 17, it seems Ak-Haranu is native to the Eastern Lands Continent, and not the Wushanko Islands. When a player asked how he got the bolt clips for Karil's crossbow, he explains that he "must sell equipment from empire's armies to get home". This suggests that the bolts he sell are provided by the armies of the empire he comes from, that he might be a member or an associate of said army, and that he must sell the exotic goods he brought with him (the bolt racks) before returning home. This also suggests that there is an empire in the Eastern Lands, which has similar automatic crossbows as Karil's crossbow, which were inspired by the medieval Chinese repeating crossbows, implying that said empire is at least partially inspired by medieval China.

The key word here is "empire": the Wushanko Islands are not under the rule of a single or even multiple empires, but are split into khanates that govern a single population center with possibly smaller, mostly uninhabited islands under their control. This suggests that Ak-Haranu's empire, which seems to be a continental empire similar to medieval China, is seperate from the multiple khanates of the Eastern Lands. The fact that Karil's crossbow uses bolt racks and was given to him by Sliske could also imply that Sliske has some contact with the Eastern Lands Continent, possibly during the God Wars, but possibly even since then. In fact, it could be very well possible that most pre-Ports NPCs from the Eastern Lands hail from the mysterious continent, as many describe it being directly east of Port Phasmatys, not south-east like where Wushanko Islands are.

She cannot be harm and she is immortal. Can you imagine all the Gods scrambling trying to get her side with them or something?

I doubt that. The Gods already have a ludicrous amount of functionally immortal followers and there's nothing to indicate that ZuZu is even remotely comparable to them. Anything she's survived a mahjarrat could and more.

I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.

There is an island called "Haranu" in the Scythe region. It seems to me that the reason for naming an island this was probably to imply that Ak-Haranu was from there. I imagine this Postbag issue (which is very old by this point) has been retconned. Remember the notice they now attach to Postbags.

Mod Osbourne just mentioned in the latest Q&A that's running right now that beyond the eight areas of the Wushanko Islands there is a massive continent.

What do you guys think lies beyond the islands? What would an Eastern Continent hold? Would you like to see it previewed by Ports lore, give us some teases and the layout of the land while we wait to get through the Wushanko Islands?

I'm really intrigued to see what the impact such a continent has on the islands.

Well the planet is a sphere, right? Head east far enough, and you wind up west.

Four letters, and it starts with a Z.

(honestly that'd be pretty sweet to see RS3's take on Zeah, though they'd need quite different content for it to be relevant)
Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.

Yeah, I would take any out-of-game lore that preceded the release of Ports as non-canon now. Even Osborne's statement of another continent - god love him, but he's not actually a great source of lore. I expect it's something he's not ruling out as a possibility, and treating too enthusiastically in response to a question. For now, it's probably safe to assume that the Wushankos are the only Eastern Lands in game.

Hey, terrible self-promotion here, but I actually made up my own silly little questline about Ak-Haranu, the island of Haranu, and the legacy of Haricanto and Eastern Occultism. Only one of the parts is actually fully written (and that rather poorly), but I tried to take all we know about Occultism, Soothsaying, Slaving, Ritual Magic, Demonology, Necrovarus, the Ten Gu, and Dragonkin presence in the East, and synthesize it into one story. So, as you can guess, it's a chaotic mess.

My current favourite theory, after Arc 2, is that the Cursed Archipelago IS the Skull.

It would be interesting. I always figured that the entire Wushanko Isles were just one archipelago altogether, so The Skull would be a bit too small to justify calling an archipelago. Then again, The Skulls gang seems to be rather prominent, since they were also in Stolen Hearts, and Jed worked with them.

However, the Cursed Archipelago is apparently uninhabited, while The Skull most definitely has people there.

Maybe we should see where The Ambassador will be. It is connected to Xau-Tak, so its location might point to where the Cursed Archipelago could be.

Hoping it's China/India-based. Also I'm hoping that there's a Western continent as well that has Native American/Aztec influences.
