We may be a small portion of the RS community but we still exist. We get like 2-3 quests that contribute to the main game lore a year, and everything else is usually microtransaction or pvm stuff.
I do wonder occasionally how many players care about lore but aren't part of any lore community (ie. people like Rainy).
I'm too Unaligned to have a forum signature.

DO NOT SPEAK OF HIM. I get so angry when I watch his streams, bc his lore is half right/half wrong half the time he speaks, and it makes me want to cut a baby.

Just about anyone who posts in this forum on a somewhat regular basis will care about the lore in some way or another.
Don't worry though, we're still a minority.

A decent metric might be to look at the numbers for god emissaries and compare that to the number of RS3 players...
...but as far as I know Jagex only ever released the percentages for emissaries, so that wouldn't work.
IIRC they did release numbers. I don't remember the exact numbers, but it was less than a million so.......very very small percentage of players.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.
It's a shame we aren't the vocal majority. Imagine getting as many Lore updates in place of how many PVM/Slayer updates we're unfortunately given. Fucksake it's even leeched onto Menaphos. But that's another rant.
We might not be the largest quantity, but I think we're still pretty good. We have the Lead Designer and Design Director in our corner, so we'll never be forgotten by Jagex.
Most people, even those who aren't hardcore lorehounds, I think would appreciate a good story to the game. Though the problem of us being a minority may be partly due to some SJWs and vigilante policing ruining the experience for others. So I'm going to try and keep calm and show patience.
