No support, summoning would completely unbalance the game that the old school team has been building up too.

I personally can see why you would appeal to summoning, a lot of people especially those in the lower tiers of the PvM community especially want it. Granted you have to look at the game as a big picture. With some of the perks of summoning it will completely devalue some bosses as well as flip the OSRS economy on it's head.

Agreed.

It seems like ppl just dont want this just because they choose to be on the bandwagon.

So hopefully one day this does get released.

It provided benefits to both cb and skilling, thus by definition, it wasnt "useless".

It provided almost nothing to combat until near max, and even then it was minimal. So yeah, it was useless. If you want summoning you can play rs3. Been playing Runescape since 2004

I beg to differ as theres plenty of useful cb and skilling familiars even before max.

War tort is one prime example.

Another is unicorn with its healing along with bunyip.

As for a good mid lvl skilling familiar, theres the ibis.
