If it is not to rude form my side, how many hours did it took you to be at leas 80/85 in al skills
Regards,
that wasnt my point lol. im talking about buying a game and it being completed already. aka story mode etc. thats not going to be fun to play. nor are you going to be "at that level" if you pay for it. you have learn the game still
can you play casually on rs now? of course you can. pretty much all of us vets did this back in the day with our friends didnt matter if we had just started or mid level we did whatever early stuff was. as casual etc. and people who are new can still do this too. doesnt matter if you are endgame etc you can still play casually
well rs now is a lot less time consuming due to new updates etc.
for this account? a very long time as that was back 20 years ago. and i was young and the game back then was entirely different to what it is now
but i did max in osrs (starting in 2021) in less than a year.
to see the progress i made in osrs to do this. so for 80 stats in osrs if stopping at 80 probably wouldnt take long at all if max was 9 months.
either way you can look at FSW event rs3 recently had to see how quickly people can get lvls in rs3 now. it started in 26th sept,
<< you can see how long each took to get to 99 starting from lvl 1, at 26th sept. longest one was 7th october being invention. most are less than a week for lvl 99.
THANK YOU! Changing my point of view thanks to all of you
I do think keeping OSRS in the honest and simple grinding nature is respecting its heritage. It is certainly true that the demographic that enjoys this game is getting older and responsibilities in the real world only continue to grow but that's what keeps the game interesting and anything the contrary would takeaway from the sense of accomplishment imo.
A few weeks ago shortly after I had finished maxing my Old School character, someone asked me what I was most looking forward to doing now that I could 'play the game.' The response I gave them was as follows: 'What are you talking about, I've been playing the game for years, nothing is changing.' And so far, I've stuck to that.
There seems to be a belief that the only thing that's enjoyable in the game is end-game content, but that's so far from the truth. In fact, some of the early and mid-game content can be just as enjoyable.
Progressing through the game is one of the core parts of RuneScape - you start at the beginning with very little, and you can play the game at your own pace in your own way. But one part of RuneScape has always been constant - there is always a grind factor at play. I wouldn't want to see that progression be taken away with an instant end-game unlock.
If you're interested in end-game PvM, you don't need every skill at 99 - you can always spend the play time you do have available on training the skills you would most need for PvM, and work on the others some other time, such as when your friends aren't around.
Looking at your current stats, it looks like you're already off to a pretty good start on that already. Just keep working at it.

I agree with this summation. As someone enjoying the early game grind there's something truly nostalgic about the early game that makes me enjoy it just as much as I'll inevitably enjoy the newer end-game content that is unique to Old School.
Life's certainly busy but if you view every step you are able to take in this game as something meaningful then you realise it's simply a journey with no real ending.
Good luck both of you with your respective grinds, they're both what makes RuneScape, RuneScape
So... make rs all pay to win? I feel like this would take away the value in grinding out your skills. Everyone wants to be the computer junkie chilling at the GE with completion gear. What would be the point though, so many people would quit if everyone could just buy a max cape and a bajillion gp.
