there is some question of if it is possible to bring the ge in without a graphics team. there is also some question of it achieving super majority support. these are suggestions for the possibility that one or both of these is answered no.
1) I suggest that the function of the ge be spit to stores. each common item in the game has a store that sells something in its category, such as runes, armor, ores, etc. I would like to see each of these stores have a function where you could leave a name and items and prices that you wanted to buy or sell.
for instance, if you wanted to buy runes, you would go to aurbry's (sp?) store in vorack and ask for the marketplace. this would open a window that would have all the runes listed. choose one and it would open a second window that has the listing of all the current bids for either buying or selling runes. a graph would be seen of all completed and offered bigs
if you choose to list a bid, it places it on all worlds. you could then go about your business. when a buyer or seller wanted what you listed, he would contact you. I believe that there should be a means of tracking to see if the sell or buy goes through so that the npc's could track the successful ones.
once contact was made, the players would agree on a place and world and would do their trade the standard way. the store would not have to hold any items.
2) A variant of the above idea would have the store hold the items, thus giving the players the ability to get the items quickly. if the second player wanted the items but wanted to negotiate, he could asked the npc to check with the player to see if he wanted to accept a different price.
obviously with both of these the player has to be online to complete the transaction, so his bid will be removed if hes offline 2 minutes.
