Why does there need to be a line down the middle? more dev work that isn't needed

yeah it makes sense and it's simple, I have tons of half eaten pies in my bank-fridge. I mean why should I carry half pies that take up double the space?

I know it's a game item only, but dropping all those halves on the floor always feels like wasting food and simply a wrong thing to do.

Or could we buy a little piggie which could be fed with it? (A kitten alternative)
