I would very much like the tall grass in the formal gardens of the Hosidius-themed house style to be removed , so it's consistent with the other house styles, and so it actually looks good/blends next to a superior garden.

That overlooked detail ruins the whole house style for me. :V
Thanks!

I was talking with a few friends in-game and on Discord about how the basic four elemental staves, elemental battlestaves, and mystic staves are graphically indistinguishable from each other, and I wound up coming up with a few ideas around those items, along with a proposed graphical update to visually distinguish between them.

Graphical updates:
Basic free-to-play elemental staves can remain the same as they currently do.
Elemental battlestaves can be easily updated to simply look more like the colours of celastrus bark.
Mystic staves I'm not sure on; the art team could use their discretion here.

Now for a tiny bit of rebalancing, as well as a couple of new F2P and P2P low-to-mid level content ideas:

Mystic staves are dead content, and it's hard to find a way to make them... well, not dead content. Increasing their accuracy would make them too powerful for the cost required to make them, and increasing magic damage % bonus would heavily devalue endgame boss drops.

My solution? Rework them into an entirely new class of weapon, which I'm calling Defensive Staves. These reworked Mystic Staves would have the same offensive bonuses they currently have, but with the addition of modest Magic Defence bonuses, and moderate Stab/Slash/Crush Defence bonuses - offset by a negative Ranged Defence penalty to keep the combat triangle in line. This new class of weapon could also, perhaps, open up new options for Defensive Staves from future bosses or raids (perhaps a special attack that nullifies the next stun, or releases a current one?).

Lastly, a small skilling update for F2P, with a more useful update for P2P alongside it: craftable basic staves, which will appear in the next post since I ran out of space.

A new tree would be added all over Gielinor called the Birch Tree. It would require 25 Woodcutting to chop down, and can be used for three things: you can use Crafting in the mid-30s range to make regular Staves, or higher level Fletching on P2P to scrape off the papery bark (more on that at the end), as well as your usual Firemaking (level 25) uses. Birch trees, their logs, and the staves would be free-to-play, of course. The Birch Paper, being a Fletching product, would only be available on member's servers.

Once you've crafted a Birch Staff, you can take them, along with 50 Air, Water, Earth or Fire Runes, 50 Mind Runes, and 50 Body Runes, to the respective Runecraft altar to imbue them into basic elemental staves. This would give appropriate XP for its level and cost, not being game-breaking at all ideally. Imbuing a staff would require n + 17 Runecraft levels to craft, where n = the level required to make a basic elemental rune (so Air Staves would require 18 Runecraft, Water Staves would require 23 Runecraft, and so on).

Lastly, Birch Paper would be a pay-to-play item that would be used to craft Scrolls of Redirection, to reduce reliance on NMZ (a goal the team has had for sometime). This process would involve Runecraft in the mid-50s/early 60s, and require a modest sum of Cosmic, Law and Astral Runes.

So that's it, just a small update. Even if none of the content is added, the graphics on those sets of staves really ought to get looked at, much like Dramen Staves were not too long ago.

Hi! I have a suggestion for a small QOL change on mobile:
Right now the close/help buttons for the bank interface are very close together, not a problem with a mouse but my fat thumbs love clicking help instead of close on mobile. There is a lot of space around the bank interface which is unused, it would be great if we could use that space to enlarge and further seperate the close and help buttons!

Thanks for all the hours of this great game jagex! :)

Hi! There is a handy feature already in the game that (in a sense) solves your problem.
You can disable/remove the help button altogether by unchecking the "'Bank tutorial' button" checkbox under bank settings. ^^
(I don't know how long it's been there, but i wish i found it sooner. xD)

Heyyy o, I got an Idea which would effect Mostly PvM in good ways its Similar to
Runescape
in a way but be nice to have them in OldSchool they or called
Greater Vials
which if you make a potion using one you can make a 6 dose potion(8 if you have a chemistry amulet on or if you decant lower doses into the potion). Having something like this will let you carry more PvM while costing more.

If a 8 dose potion sounds too much a 6 dose potion will be fine for a greater potion.

Reply what you think of it

Dismantle Ring of Eternal Slaying (Fee?)

mistakes we're made i failed to notice it was irreversible now even though i received the gem from a drop im down 8m for curiousity killed the cat. i have seen players express a concern that it would devalue the ring so perhaps a decently high fee of slayer points or cash to revert it would make up for it.

Small suggestion, its seems like we are not going to get new skill added into the game, so I would like to make my suggestion of increasing the maximum level of slayer from 99 to I dont know 110/120?
The reasons why it would be good for the game, there's already a lot of players with 99 slayers, everyone can agree with me that slayer is the most fun skill in game, but its going very very fast, and slayer post 99 lvl seems to be boring, also for many Ironman players in time we Ironman gets like all CoX or ToB items best in slot, we already got all slayer bosses done, all top tier items, 99 combat skills 99 slayer etc, and there is no use of those items in slayer anymore. Also if you would be planning to add new slayer monsters or slayer bosses, there simply not much space to put them if max slayer level is 99,
