Hello, actual runescape player from 2007 reporting in about
Old School Runescape
.
I have a few suggestions, i'm sure a few of which have been made already.
Keep old school old school
- I'm sure there has been enough negative feedback about adding new content to oldschool, and I agree. It's not really old school runescape if you add map content that was not part of the game in 2007, and I find that it would be best if 2007 scape looked like 2007, because isn't that the whole idea behind the separate game entity?.
Skill Briefing
- Despite what I just said, there are a few quality of life changes that were not damaging to the game's playability before RS3 came along, the main feature I am speaking of is the flashing skill icon upon level up. There was a time that upon level up of a level, you would have a new interface that shows you everything you can now do since you last checked your skill. This would prove useful when fighting, because if you level up a skill during combat, once your character throws another attack, the dialogue disappears and you have to go through every sub-category of the skill you leveled up to see what new abilities you have. Some people that aren't robots may appreciate if this feature was added to old school runescape.
EDIT:
Stuck indefinitely in Randoms
- With a bad connection, I often find myself stuck in random events, namely the pinball one. Please do something about this, like a time-out function.
