Burthorpe Games Room


This place has not seen anyone in a long time, i feel that it would be an idea to add or maybe change existing games so that it will get popular again- maybe give out some sort of reward to make players actually go there.
Doesnt have to be anythine of great value or even something tradable, just giving out special clothing and armor like the castle wars rewards would be an idea.

For example, i myself am a chess fanatic, if there was a cape that had a chess piece on it i would probably invest alot of time to gain access to it.

But there are different ways of making this place appealing to players again, i just think that adding content to the games room would be a good start.
Whenever i open the OSRS world map i get that special feeling like back in the day- because there are still places that i have not jet seen, but i dont have any reason to go there, just like the Burthorpe games room. (I have been there a few times tough :) )

The crystal bow seems fairly weak for being part of the crystal equipment family. I think it should get a little buff maybe? It's a cool bow, I would like to see it be used more often.

I would also like to see something for gathering skills (Wc, Fishing, Mining, Rc). Concepts like evil trees, falling stars. Something that makes the skills actually fun to train and makes you more active while training them, instead of afk mining pay dirt or cutting willow logs... Now that I am nearly maxed combat, I am starting to get into raising the rest of my skills. I don't like to strangle myself because of how repetitive and boring it is. *cough* fishing *cough* woodcutting *cough* runecrafting *cough* mining *cough* agility *cough* fletching *cough* firemaking *cough*... Also, seeing firemaking being useful for something would be nice also. Dungeoneering wasn't that bad because it actually made you use all the skills together, and also providing some exp for doing so.

On the roof of the last building in the Canifis rooftop agility course, there is one tile that needs to be rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise and two tiles that need to be rotated 180 degrees.

Me and my slayer partner recently started slaying together. It's a great update, but I think there's possibility to make it even better.

So here's my suggestion:

Have tasks twice or 150% more of the length, but the kill count is shared.
This makes it so there is a little competition between the partners to rack up the most kills and obviously, the experience.

However many can see problems with this, such as players having the possibility to kill as many as 400 of a monster while their other partner practices another skill and recieves points for not killing any monsters or having players kill many monsters without seeing a slayer master.

A way to counteract this issue, would be to assign a percentage or amount of points per kill. So if one player does not kill any monsters, he doesn't get any experience or points.

I'm all ears to comments and suggestions, please try and be constructive. If you see any problems with this suggestion, please let me know.

How about a new Heraldry crest? Something with red as the primary colour on a helm, and white as the secondary.
(I make this suggestion entirely because the dragon full helm just plain does not look good with the chainbody, not even mentioning the disproportionate price, and the med helm looks a bit questionable on female characters. )

Clan Wars update to assist the Clan World:

we normally do 25- 50 kill run ins depending on the pulls for both clans, or a 10-20min or longer cap limit, and sometimes a knock out.

We use the map plateau for the most part because the turret map is broken and doesnt allow the fight to be as fun, and also same thing for the normal CWA classic map. If you could fix those that would be great.

My idea is as follows, we usually have PKRI's in the wilderness uncapped and capped time limits, i would like to semi bring that to CWA.

Time limit Fights that count kills, at the end of the time allowed it turns the fight into a Knock out fight, the clan must knock out the opposing clan, the only thing i havent came up with is how it determines the winner.

for example RSD might have 67 kills and RoT with 45 kills before time cap, at the time cap end RoT has 45 members RSD with 43 in portal, RoT pulls off the Knock out with 23 people remaining, who is declared winner? RSD with more kills or RoT for knocking the clan out. (Truely the point of the time limit is to gain momentum and hopefully carry that into total dominance in the knock out round)

The wilderness pkri's are greatly affected by the Crash war going on so we can really clear clans off the battle field, and we dont have a Kill death ratio tracker anymore, so we really cant tell who wins but accept for who has the most members at the end of the time cap.

would love to discuss this with you guys and see if you can finish the idea to perfection. Its a good challenge for you guys.
