Idk why my last post got taken down, probably because Jagex knows how badly they are dropping the ball.

The bots are out of control, literally everywhere. 20k Zulrah bots by the hundreds at ferlox, PVP scripts, Wildy Bosses. Literally every single place if filled with bots.

Either Jagex is complacent with their membership purchases, or they are helpless to fix this.

It's out of control. Jagex. Please for the love of god, do your job.

you seem to be under the impression getting rid of bots is easy. it is not.

the past 20 years is clear of that.

jagex take down many botting websites over the years. that is the best way to deal with them. but it takes time and money


to think they arent doing anything just shows lack of understanding, but you only get that with learning so its all good.

Absolutely certain of that ? first, jagex implemented twitch promo which made the original OG mod weath quit, go check the youtube vids on pyra plunder 'free' bots. P2P serves as a barrier for entry, you have to lose a bond to get into the game, thats already a negative, say, $6 that costs you to run a bot. You're telling me you can't ban 3 bots per hour manually to make it viable for a manual employee to do so?

How about the leak of Mod Mat K who said 'we're only allowed to ban 200 accounts per day' ??????

and i don't trust trident in the slightest, slimy scumbag was banning people because his e-girl has told him so. Hes the worst piece of S, second to mod Jed.

And hes not a good software developer, by his statements that you've just posted he clearly is a 'junior' dev.

Source: im a senior dev, full stack, was running way larger team than this donkey trident ever could.

Reason why bots are in the game? bad management. Including the current CEO. Thats abt it. GL

It looks like the bots are out of control over all of osrs . I play Soul Wars on my alt everyday and have seen the impact the bots and the boosters cheating at the game on the non themed soul wars worlds .
For some one that plays the game without cheating and plays on the one themed soul wars world 320 that is the only non cheating world where games are played the way they are supposed to be played .
High scores are infested with bots and boosters . The last bot purge did a lot to help but the bots and the boosting has returned with force . When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained.

Exactly. Can't really do pvp in pvp worlds, because of ahk pvp bots (these have been discussed on youtube in further detail) that are advanced enough to do full gear switches in a single tick, pray against your weapon/gear instantly and rag you if you fight back. Every world is filled by wildy bots and their protection accounts so can't do wildy slayer. Zulrah probably isn't worth the supplies to kill if your gp is limited due to bots crashing the drops.

I don't think OSRS will do much to their botting situations. Bots will leave on their own because of undefiable natural selection though in due time. So just get a cup of tea, relax and enjoy OSRS just as a game, as long as the servers are still up.

I don't know but at least this wasn't what Mod Trident told us.

Well, I was going to pull up official data published by Jagex on their weekly anti-cheating stats from 9 October 2017 to 5 May 2019. There was a graph showing data from 2013 to 2019 too. However, it seems like they have removed the data. Both data used to suggest they banned lots of player from botting in OSRS (like 100k to 200k per week), so I can't prove anything now... Anyway, this page still exists in the RS Wik:

News from Reuters Jagex is putting itself up for sale, so OSRS bots may boost the headcount to hide up its lack of revenue growth. It is a short term positive for the sale of the company. So just enjoy OSRS being huuuuggeeee with bots.
