This is what i have come across with soul wars .
One of the problems with reporting bots and boosters is the quantity of them in certain areas . You could spend hours or days because there are so many .Who ever is running the bots change worlds when you try to break up their game . The boosting clans hop worlds as soon as they see anyone that is not with them come to soul wars where they are playing .

When they opened up all the worlds to soul wars is when all the bots and boosting became wide spread . When the 3 themed soul wars worlds were the only ones the bots and the boosters were held at check by the players that play the game as it is supposed to be played .

What is needed is an in game added feature to the reporting of bots and boosters that are in a large quantity on what world and location along with the present system of singly reporting them .
I hope that the bot teams even look at these post but i have doubts because they seem to be more active on the social media platforms . One can only hope !
When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained.

I don't think OSRS will do much to their botting situations. Bots will leave on their own because of undefiable natural selection though in due time. So just get a cup of tea, relax and enjoy OSRS just as a game, as long as the servers are still up.

"How about the leak of Mod Mat K who said 'we're only allowed to ban 200 accounts per day' ??????"

I don't know but at least this wasn't what Mod Trident told us.

Well, I was going to pull up official data published by Jagex on their weekly anti-cheating stats from 9 October 2017 to 5 May 2019. There was a graph showing data from 2013 to 2019 too. However, it seems like they have removed the data. Both data used to suggest they banned lots of player from botting in OSRS (like 100k to 200k per week), so I can't prove anything now... Anyway, this page still exists in the RS Wik:

https://runescape.wiki/w/Player_Support_Team/Stats#Anti-cheating_bans

Updated on some of the bot banning stats by Mod Sween in the first few minutes of today's livestream:

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1929593015

He said they banned over 200k bots in each month of August and July. Well, it is up to you to interpret these numbers. Anyway, Mod Sween is now a marketer. It seems a bit weird OSRS has to throw a marketer in front of the crowd with torches and pitchforks. What happen to the OSRS anti-cheating specialists now?

If having a marketer instead of anti-cheating specialists trying to clam down the angry OSRS mob on future bot busting change isn't weird enough, what about them pointing to a new hire as the solution?

One will think the real solution to banning bots is through new technology upgrade, and now just adding a new hire... unless that new person has a magical ban hammer.

Anyway, we know Mod Sween is just a messenger.

jagex take down many botting websites over the years. that is the best way to deal with them. but it takes time and money

The last time they took actions on botting websites were, unfortunately, over 4 years ago. Actually I don't think it cost Jagex much money as the 2 gold selling sites ceased and desisted voluntarily.

No idea why it took Jagex so long for more actions since then.

TBH, I serious doubt what Mod Sween pleaded so hard will work an iota toward the OSRS botting situation. However, I think at least there is something they can put in action instead of just giving more apologies.

Remember, we once have bot banning data on the Jagex Support Website, and a graph showing such bot banning activities from 2013 - 2019 on the RS Wiki? For whatever reason Jagex removed these pages. This doesn't bode well to OSRS's claim they aren't "padding data". Now that we know the OSRS team and Mod Sween are able to tell us their bot banning numbers this year, for transparency reason, why not reinstate the bot banning Player Support data and graph plenty of OSRS players should love to see?

If they have banned millions of bots and have a bot detection system. Why are bots on the High Scores?

I was playing over the weekend at NM and you have PNM bots running all weekend?

Go to any anvil in osrs and tell me jagex has a bot system?

Go to edgeville anvil now in any world and let me know.
