Let me see if I get this right.
100% of the couples that we know their orientation are gay. Several that are suspect are also gay.
We have NPC's that are male, but have female names.
100% of the events supporting orientations are gay pride.
100% of the evil and stupid NPC's are white, not one of the races showing any other sign of stupidity or evilness

and more.

YET you say jagex is not inclusive enough? And you wonder why the majority do not support your take over of the world.

Race as a construct is written within the Runescape rules [1]. Race itself is socially constructed both in Runescape [2] and in real life.

Because race is inscribed within the written rules of Runescape, the rules of Runescape take a political stance. Race is has also been written within the laws of society and has been for hundreds of years[3].

The paradigm that race is biologically constructed is a weak arguement that has a politcal precedent [4]. The story telling in the game is racialized[4.1]. A lot of the stories pre-date the more contemporary conversations of race, gender, and ethnicity[5]. Another person posted here stating that race doesn't belong within the game. But, truly they only want it to not exist in the game when it's inconvenient to their narrative.

As I've clearly demonstrated, race does exist within Runescape. I think that in order to have more depth and breadth to their story telling, they will have to step up their game or get left behind. The characters Zeri and Neon have both been acknowledged to be based on Filipino culture. K'Sante from League of Legends is gay. Overwatch's entire cast are related to real world countries. It's only a matter of time before the Jagex writing team gets better and more inclusive. US softpower exists and the US is steadily becoming a majority minority. If they want to story tell and innovate, they would be foolish to not include one of their largest player bases.

[1] see wiki article titled Code of Conduct , subheader Original rules

[2] see wiki article titled List of races

[3] Immigration and Naturalization Act in 1790

[4] see Ozawa v. United States , where the United States Supreme Court determined that the color or shade of a person’s skin is not determinative of their race.

[4.1] as written by others

[5] yes, ethnicity is also a feature within Runescape. There is samurai armor in Runescape, which acknowledges the existence of Japanese warriors

I forgot to add that only one quest uses our pronoun and they call us a "them". I am not more than one person.

Wither you want to talk race or skin color, it remains the same. ONLY those will white skin are ever shown to be totally idiot or evil.

The ideocracy of this type of post is mind blowing, like how do you want to represent every minor group of people/gender, to do so you would need to represent the following;

Genders - All of them?? Which is bound to be like 20+ by now
Sexual orientation - Lord knows how many, there's people attracted to animals, we accounting for them too?
Race - Are we grouping them together under their respective umbrellas or are we individualising them? I'm certain there's tribes in the congo that would be upset they weren't represented.
Countries - Need I say more?
Then it gets even more complicated when we start mixing these together, I'm a white genderfluid person from India, why aren't I represented in an npc in the game, so that I can talk to it for 60 seconds once during my entire rs accounts lifespan??

OR do we accept the game is what it is and move on and stop all this inclusive BS - If you're introducing new characters sure go for it - but stop changing the old ones and making dumb events intended only to boost your social standing. If you get upset at a particular characters portrayal in a game I suggest you take a long hard look at your priorities. I'm Irish and the tool leprechauns are an absolute stereotype, do I care? No, infact I usually have a silent laugh to myself, just like I used to laugh when I seen the Alis' in Al Karid.

Such a waste of development time pattering to a minority of cry babies who just want to be seen to be different.

Anyway, no doubt this post will be hidden or removed because we couldn't possibly upset the blue hairs.

Imagine being this sensitive to words like He or She. You obviously missed the meaning of my statement. There is only one quest or thing in the game where people refer to us by a pronoun and this is it, meaning that 100% of the times the game refers to us by pronoun, its a non binary usage. YET 100% is not enough for some people.

You've got a lot to say, but I need to stop you right here, because this is just false. Stories, games, media, etc. do not inherently "take a political stance" simply because they have established race within them. You can very easily make your own races and ethnicities and belief systems in ficticious settings that have completely different dynamics than anything in reality. Then, let us now note that this does not make them political just because they could be construed to resemble existing paradigms in real life. Indeed, as some/all of those paradigms within the media may be uncomparable--in any sensical fashion--to real life paradigms. That being said, this doesn't mean all ficticious media are not political, but it's not an inherent quality like you are purporting.

Now that that is out of the way, I do think there is some measure of political stances within OSRS, and that is, in fact, what I have a problem with when it is done overtly. Something somewhat underlying, like the quest The Feud, is fine, so long as it is properly framed for players that it is... not laudable. Ergo, race within OSRS is perfectly fine, but making political statements is something I, personally, think does not have a place here. This isn't to say I think all games should steer clear of politics, but I think unless you are intentionally making it clear to those who would partake of your game (or any media) that it is intended to be political, then at the very least an attempt should be made to be avoid politics. To the point, if I wanted politics in the game, I would be seeking to play games that are clearly intended to be political. (and, as noted throughout this thread, politics in OSRS are currently rare)
