There's only so much you can do with a skill like Firemaking... it's still going to be the same boring skill.

And Smithing had an update recently (Addy alch price change).

Relative to the community's preferences, it's not a bad thing to focus more on certain skills.

I think that firemaking could be made useful if burning logs was seen as a source of fuel. I once had a suggestion for firemaking that would allow you to obtain stackable embers while firemaking which could be used as fuel for various items which only work if they're stocked up with enough charges.

There's so many things then that we could have requiring this new resource like an item that lets you eat raw food, or that protects you from dragonfire, or applies a damage over time burn effect to your attacks, all at the cost of some embers each time a charge is used.

"Relative to the community's preferences, it's not a bad thing to focus more on certain skills."

It's kind of a catch-22 there because people won't be interested in a skill if it's dull and useless. If it does get a good update though, suddenly people will like it so focusing on what is already most popular isn't the best idea either.

Mo************aar.

censor out those o's..

Only good thing about ignoring those skills is that they dont get devalued or burnt out like slayer does....still, firemaking needs a use. Smithing really needs a revamp...slayer needs nothing.

Why does smithing need a revamp? It has content all the way up to 99.

That's the one skill that doesn't need a revamp.

Also, answer my question from the previous page.

13million xp to make a set of armour I make at 40def? Yeah, practical that. "When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself... first, as a dark demon. As a demon, it uses its power to rain death upon the land, and then it dies. However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns, this time, as a great hero"

Not about reward or profit, but I'm on a phone "When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself... first, as a dark demon. As a demon, it uses its power to rain death upon the land, and then it dies. However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns, this time, as a great hero"

Anyhow its more about the interaction of different groups and making more sense for high smithing to be tied to high level gear. So the corp drops sigil which only a high level an thee can fuse to a spirit shield with a new level 90 ore. The next boss drops scraps of dragons which the smith reforms with a new ore to claws
.etc. This took 5 secs imagine what real thought

That gives you something to do with 90 mining, but there's no way that mining that new level 90 ore would make any decent profit. Unless the point is merely to give the skill some extra content at higher levels then yea, fair enough, they've already done that with smithing giving the d sq a lvl 60 req and the dfs a level 90 req.
