Insane percentage of OSRS players has always been bots for years. The OSRS economy has failed years ago actually due to their inability to ban bots while other games can. They actually unorthodoxly unbanned most of the previously banned bots.

Real world traders have been selling OSRS gp in the pathetic $0.3/m range for years. Rome wasn't ruined in one day. Neither was the OSRS economy destroyed in one day.

Debatable but even if we consider this, This is part of the point im making. An IM finally gets to the point where they can farm ranarr seeds or do ranarr herb runs and they now have a decent source of income after grinding for it. Now that source of income is worthless and so was their time grinding for it. With so many options, I just don't understand why they would use the same items in the drop table as they did in the previous content. Realistically they should pull ranarr seeds from this bosses drop table. The rest are fine at this point as they we're not massively damaged in the last update for TOA.

This is the same for every single update. Most 200M skills I have are now much easier or have highly AFK methods. That's just how Runescape works.

The only thing I see is that people that helped destroy the economy for the majority are not complaining that they are having it destroyed by others. I may be a dinosaur but I remember a time when the vast majority of players did skills to get items. When I first started, the best armor was an addy plate legs and steel plate body. People could make their own stuff. Almost everything you had could be made by people. This required gathering items. The entire world was always hopping as people gathered items from everywhere.

Now you can go half the day without seeing another player. No one gather items any more because they are all dropped in huge amounts by bosses. These drops arent destroying the economy, it was already destroyed a long time ago.

Actually, no. A few bots could do a lot more than normal players because they were on 24 hours a day doing the exact same thing for their entire lifespan. When they were banned, they were easily replaced. The percentage of the player count that was bots, never got more than 10%. Now days, I doubt you see many bots in the game since they have no purpose, unless its to pvm. You cant get enough items to matter other wise.

I am talking about percentage of concurrent players here. Let's say OSRS has 500k active members and 500k active free players. If out of that 1 mil active players 10% of them are bots who are online 24/7, then we see 100k bots online 24/7. This is an insane percentage if total concurrent players online are 110k.

Why can other over 9,000 games ban bots but not OSRS? How come it is so easy for OSRS bots to replace themselves but not most of the other games?

This game is made to be easy to make new account. You can be f2p for as long as you want. Most games only have a limited time. This means that most games, you have to pay to have your bot trained while in this game, you can train it in f2p as far as you want.

Other games like RS3 are made to be easy to make new accounts too, but they restrict free players to transfer wealth so it is far more useless for bots to create f2p suicide accounts.
