If this somehow does get added ingame I'm hoping you have to, for example, put a profound platebody into an item similar to the dragon keepsake key and get the gold/blue as a cosmetic override in return.

Jagex wouldn't allow that if this were to ever be released I'm sure. I would assume it would only appear if you weild it's current updated version or maybe it will work some way like the dagon keepsake key where you have to put in a profound platebody to receive the gold/blue decorative platebody.
