i was trying to make a point on manipulation. must have failed.

they said up to 50% off on the most sought after auras. i had a bond ready to go to become a member.

i only see 30 to 33 percent off, on all the auras i see. they do the same thing with cosmetics.
"75% off on selected cosmetics." then 1 is 75% off and the rest 50%. i don't appreciate the tactic, just another brick in the wall. others must not mind.

UP TO... you put it in your title.. the words are up to ofc during a sale irl or on a game
there will be some more on sale than others.

Jagex let people know every early in the year so they could save up loyalty points.
Getting membership for 1 month would be about useless. Also cant use unless
you are a member so again unless you plan to stay a member.. useless.

So all in all keep up with the news and go ahead and start saving for next
aura sale. The richest person is not who has the most. It is who Needs the least.

i don't know that your post addresses my post.

i did strategically state UP TO. this showing a manipulation, a type of bait and switch. i also stated "on the most sought after auras"

out of the 39 auras that i see available, i own 7, and the rest are at 30%. are legendary tracker and legendary quarry master not "most sought after"? those are the 2 that i would get if they were 50% off.

if anyone has purchased an aura at 50% off, that would address "which auras is it" if purchased more than one that would address "more than one then?".

i could have purchased the gold premier club and would have enough points to buy both at full price as well as another.

if i want to spend a bond, get the auras and then let the membership lapse, that would be my prerogative

i must be the richest player, for i do not have the auras and yet i also do not need them. my thread was addressing a continued trend of manipulative hype and not about my desire for an xtr 3% bonus.

So I see no manipulation. If it said.. Sales 50 percent off and you go and look and
some are lower.. that would be manipulation. The richest person is not who has the most. It is who Needs the least.

39 items on sale at 30%, is a 30% off sale.

37 items at 30% off and 2 at 50% off with an advertisement of 50% off of the most sought after auras is a manipulation during the entire period in which the advertisement exists and the actual details of the sale are hidden. it is a 30% off sale with two items whose purpose is to give an inflated idea of value. it continues to inflate the actual value of the sale even if the details are actually known.

as i stated i have 7 auras in the sale that i own. that makes at least 32 at 30% and at most seven at 50%.

i have not seen in any wiki or any other info source an itemized list of which auras are at 50%. no player has stated that they have seen an aura at 50%.

if at least 2 auras are not on sale at 50% then not only is that manipulation, it is false advertisement.

so once again which aura? auras, plural, more than 1 then? which ones? the 7 i happen to own? an obligatory 2? a false advertisement of 1, or none?

a hyped manipulation and no itemized list.

can you provide a list?

the 7 i own are:

vampyrism, supreme jot, legendary call of sea and supreme tracker, quarry master, greenfingers and call of sea

none of the other legendary are 50%, is it just my legendary call of the sea?

it isn't supreme lumberjack, five finger discount or siphon, nor wisdom and such. is it just my call of sea, tracker, quarry master and greenfingers? what are the odds?

are the 2- vampyrism and supreme jot?

so today they answered my question of "which" aura is it that is 50% off. they can say that they don't have an obligatory 2 auras because the wording is that all the auras are most sought after. and skilling pures seek vampyrism more than any other group of players. there is absolutely no way that skillers would seek out skill buffs over the vampyrism aura.

38 at 30% or less. one aura that excludes skilling pures at 50%. lime jello anyone?

i consider the advertisement: "up to 50% off the most sought after auras" to be absolutely manipulative.

vampyrism, that was the answer i was looking for, and was simply showing my displeasure, as well as the reason i am f2p.
