If they charged too little, they'd be devalued and their historical value would be lost.

If they charged enough, nobody would buy them from Jagex, as it'd be cheaper to buy bonds and use the gp gained that way to buy them instead.

So either way, this just wouldn't work.

Though I don't necessarily see a problem with new colors being introduced, I feel like at this point that Jagex is not going to implement this. If they were going to, it would have a long time ago. The financial gain from temporarily or even permanently throwing new colors into the game would be huge; even players know that.

I'm still on the fence about throwing the current colors in, but at this point they're so far unreachable to most players through legitimate means and that in itself can be subjectively considered as wrong. I understand the prestigious factor, despite them being truly admirable years ago, but at this point in age there's really nothing much left to lose.

Untradeable discontinued items are a slightly different story.

If you want a New Partyhat Suggestion that doesn't take a lifetime with only a chance to get due to lack of supply and none being less than 7b...

I'd recommend supporting my Billionaire's Club! The cheapest is a guaranteed 1b that never changes. That's only an estimated 20 hours of Telos, according to some quality pvmers that claim him to be roughly 50m/hr. And even higher tiers may be available! And the supply is infinite so you never have to worry about if they will be available when you can afford it.

I offered more affordable availability, but some people didn't like that.
