Happy to have the bonus weekend. But don't blame the lag on the servers. It was something in the code or script you inserted for the bonus XP. I was playing when the bonus XP started and everything was smooth until the bonus xp kicked in. That's when everyone started experiencing terrible lag. The number of players couldn't have increased that drastically in a 5 min period.

Double exp at 0.7 speed is still a 40% bonus. A bit frustrating for most of the weekend, but still better than nothing.
What I don't understand is "double summoning was such a bad idea after the first bxp weekend" then why was it ok to reverse policy and include it once again? A lot of people used up their charms earlier expecting only the 1.1 multiplier for summoning again.
There were a lot of clan mates that got four hours of sleep over the weekend. I am not sure having 48 hours of bonus is really that good of an idea. Previous bonus weekends the multiplier went down to 1.1 after about ten hours and people would get some rest.
Overall, another good event.

the bonus weekend was incredible :)
overall the lag was tolerable, as a long time player we've have much worse in the past, the servers are 100x better now than they were a few years ago.
thanks for this bonus weekend, great idea, glad it was a huge success :)

I would like to say thank you for working on upgrading the servers. I must say I felt frustrated during long periods of high lag. I know I've invested a great deal of money and time into Runescape and felt the servers should have been able to take an excessive load of players.
Once again, thank you Jagex for taking the time and money to address the issue.

i was only able to log 9 hours during the event. about half the time "mostly during peak hours" i experienced lagggggggg or log in issues. fortunately i was still able to get tons of experience. i am glad the issue will finally be addressed.
as for bots, whats the problem???? you want to really find them just log on. seems with all the vgbvgbvgb1254 names running around mining essence, and cutting trees, it should be easy to dump enough toons to speed things up. unless them being on member worlds gives them a free pass or something.
well anyway, thanks for the double XP.

While the Jagex Two-Step was not amusing and having accounts orphaned by the login servers for hours at a time, the response from the weekend tech support staff made everything so much worse.
It has been great to see the enthusiastic support from the main tech support team this week. (Thanks ever so much guys, your efforts are truly appreciated.)
The best surprise of all is this thread. I do not ever recall having seen a gold post apology before. Thanks much for not telling us we were crazy, or it was our computers' problem, or denying anything was wrong.
I for one have a lot more respect when a company takes responsibility when something goes wrong and does not deny or ignore the event.
