Loved the weekend, granted it was a lagg fest. On a side note though going to my clan citadel and training made the game run super smooth, which worked for me since I was working on herblore. So any bank skill would have been fine there, but it still leaves every other skill. :| Oh well. Hopefully things are better next time. ;)

First I'd like to thank Jagex for the double exp weekend.
Second I'll chime in with the cry of "Laaggg".
Third I'll point out, what else did anyone expect? Double exp?!
For that everyone who could would play, or attempt to...
Fourth I have some numbers to share.
I made 830k exp over the weekend,
Then yesterday I made over 450k exp.
Yes, because of the lag I played less than I might have over the weekend.
Lag takes the fun out of the game, even with double exp.
Fifth, another number, most days I'm pretty happy with getting 50k or 100k exp a day. That 450k exp day was not the rule.
Sixth, because I feel it must be stressed, THIS IS NOT A RANT, even with the lag, I'm happy that Jagex did the weekend, and proud that they included free players as well. I started free and while I'm a member now I have not been a member all the time. I'll keep my membership paid up as much as I can but some lapses are unavoidable. Jagex is the best in that a member can become a free player for a while.
Seventh, I have tried other games, the ones with free play don't have as extensive a free option as RuneScape does. Many will not let you play free if your membership expires. The story lines in RS quests are fun, not just lists of things to kill like other games have. Sure the graphics in other games can be better, but you also need a more expensive computer to run those games. RuneScape really is the best and I hope it is around for another decade and more.

PS Next time perhaps you can just recharge our Mad May necklaces?

Well, i really would have hoped for a better experience through that weekend. Granted the double xp was nice. But the fact every world lagged so bad it was not really worth it, which really ruined it for a lot of people.
I have a question: Why not upgrade your hardware? Every time you (Jagex) does a major event, there is lag. Which in turn can make the event un-enjoyable.

That was a great weekend. Thanks JAGEX I loved it. (no sarcasm)
Although the since the server lag was so bad and everything all jumpy and not worky right. I couldn't train half the skills I wanted to. Nothing that required moving was possible because I felt like the lag was going to make me die doing anything but skilling at the GE. I couldn't do slayer, attack, Def, Str, ect.....because they all required moving and therefore would have huge increase of death.....like I was given a slayer asignment to kill 50 steel dragons wich is dangerous on its own for me without the server lag.
Also noticed quite a decrease in response time in skilling at peak times. Sutch as logs taking almost twice as long to throw into the fire aswell as highalch and fletching among others. Thus dimishin* the point of bonus XP. (high alch could be counterd with shorcut keys+microsoft doubleclick mouse keys but the general problem still remained)
I'm am SUPER HAPPY that you're upgradeing your servers so that I dont have to worry about this happening to normal gameplay in the future aswell. Thank you ^_^
