I agree with everyone. i have been playing for nearly 5 years and have had a recuring membership for a while. I think its wrong to disadvantage the most loyal people. I am still annoyed about missing out on a flamming skull. All members should get equal rights.

I was hoping for a Halloween event for f2p people, because not everyone can pay for membership. Now that I see that Jagex can only put things out for members, I'm losing faith in the Halloween event. Come on Jagex, members aren't the only people you have to please. I think you forgot that along the way.

Jumping on the halloween lets all get jagex bandwagon
i wish to voice my unhappness at the scarcrow swindle yes would like one and fanceied the flaming skull as well looks kind cool
so come on lets not mess around if your a paid up member you should get these items we are your bread and butter as we provide a regular income so treat us right or you could very well loss that income
and i agree hang a *** not a good username and should be sorted

You are releasing these item cards way too often :| . Before you Jagex started releasing these cards, I was paying for members month by month meaning I had to renew evry month else it would run out. I have bought 1 of evry gamecard w/ item promotion since you started releasing them, and now i have membership far into 2013 almost 2014.
- I have:
Ornate katana: 3 months
Green skin: 3 months
Turkey hat: 3 months
Barbed bow: 3 months
Flaming skull: 3 months
Golden katana: 3 months
Ice mask: 6 months
and now Scarecrow mask: 3 months -> 2 years / 24 months
The first item released was the Ornate katana, it was released 8' july 2011. Thats only 15 months ago
It would make more sense to release them once evry 3 months seeing as i and probably many more have 9 months prepaid membership
Sorry if its hard to understand my english.

this is totally bs & unfair! i would pay more per month mem by the card than i do if i use my debit card...why should i have to pay more for updating my membership for a mask or anyother ingame items with a card?? this is gettin pretty dam old that i miss out on in game stuff just cause i use a debit card & dont pay more for same membership by buying a card..should be able to get these things with any pd membership..reguardless of how that same membership is pd for!!! Jag..sorry to say, but continuation of actions like this is a total fail in ur treament of ur payin mems, & disreguard of those of us that uses debit/credit cards..what special stuff do we get for payin in said manner?? Maybe we should get some bandos items or rares since we pay with debit/credit card!! You really need to stop this treament, same as with solomons store & such, breakin ur own rules of real world trading that we have to pay cash in order to obtain in game things..we was promised that we would NEVER have to pay for things in the game with real money..whats goin on at the top of the chain that we as players r being lied to?? I think Jag needs to rethink of what they r doing &thier actions against players..not all of us has hoards of money to spend for these things. Many of us does good to pay the internet & membership for our relaxation from the real world, but lately ur expecting us to pay more than is justified...

The reason they are promoting this for gamecards only as far as i know is so more people buy them from stores so that stores wont turn back saying no we dont want to sell rs membership anymore cause so few buys them.
And the reason why they costs a little more is because the store needs to make a small profit on the sale.
And the reason why jagex needs stores to sell these cards is because there is people who cant buy membership normaly with debcards etc

I think most people understand that buying the card will still work with a recurring membership as you stated, that's not the problem. The problem is that those with a recurring membership are still paying membership, usually for long lengths of time, but aren't also allowed to receive this item unless we go out of our ways. Not to mention, this offer is assuming it's even possible for everyone to go out and buy a gamecard; for some people, paying for membership online is the only method.
I think that adding these items to the loyalty shops is the best method. It allows people with recurring memberships to not be left out, and using loyalty points guarantees that you're not just having someone buy one month's worth of membership for the item instead of buying a game card.
Another alternative would be to make it so that those with recurring membership just have to log-in to the account settings and manually select to receive the item if you're trying to avoid giving it out to everyone automatically.
