I don't know if this has been answered or not but, does the system work solely off the IP address that is registered or per device itself. For example am I able to log in from a different device from within the same network regardless of it being trusted. Also with the IP address being subject to distribution via my ISP this can change over time, what happens in this case?

If you do not have that device registered, your gonna get that email. instead of complaining about it. It does not take no more 38 seconds to open a new tab, url in the address bar, enter, sign in and click on the sent email. It's your security, that is at risk! It really don't take long to go check your email unless you got a really slow connection. but your the one who says it's a waste of time. Just wait till some one actually does get a hold of your account, you might regret your own actions, ^_^ and do not under estimate a hacker.

So far I've had no problems with this new security feature. It sounds very helpful and I hope more people use it. It's really sad to hear about players getting hijacked, so let's hope that more people take advantage of this feature and that less people get into nasty situations with hijackers :)

I put my account guardian on my account, 7 days ago, and that same day it blocked my account. I asked to add my ip to the guardian, and no email has been sent to me, i asked to remove account guardian and no email was sent to me. I asked for help, and for my membership to be given back to me, no email has been sent to me, no replys to any of my msgs asking for help. I'm not very happy...

It is wise to write down your security answer or make them easy that you can remember them. Simple thing to do is move your mouse over account above play now click security it will be at the top click disable, it would not be wise to. You can also change your security questions\answers at any given time.

I have 4 different users on my computer.I set up the guardian on one account then had to log into my administrator so I could update the client. I had to set up the guardian again under that account.You give one minute to set up any devises we want after activating the guardian, how long do you think runescape takes to load? Give us at least 30 mins.
This is a really neat feature thou and I feel a lot safer now that I have it.
