It is time to start a Class action Law suite and Take IVP + Jagex to court for the corruption of Minors.
If you are a Citizen of the UK Do us none British Citizens a favour & walk in to the nearest Constabulary's office and tell them you wish to press charges of Child Endangerment, Corruption Of minors and the Running of a Illegal Gambling Den against Jagex & IVP
Worst case scenario the police just laugh at you and request that you leave the Police station. Best case scenario they take you seriously so they take the list of potential charges to the crown and requests that investigation be opened agaisnt IVP & Jagex over these accusation
Best best case scenario Jagex & IVP go to court we win and they have to shut down Yelps SOF for good
Worst Case scenario they Shut Down Runescape for good.
I wonder what would happen if the Crown started to investigate them on these things

First off, we complain because it's a direct violation of jagex's own policies and rules and depending how you look at it, possible a violation of actual laws. Furthermore, it is an unnecessary aspect added to the game by a greedy company following its game-plan of buying up companies, draining as much money as possible from the players, and then abandoning it to die. Go do some research or read the other thread if you don't know what i'm talking about. This has nothing to do with needing more money to develop and support the game, it only exists to increase profits.
And as for the other reason why we complain? Because it DOES affect us. Why are people against bots? Because they train skills without the player having to do any work and because they devalue items by mass producing them to the point that legitimate players can barely make money from skills. Also, because many of them sell the gold that hey acquire to even lazier players who can afford to purchase success.
Now then, what does the SoF do? It sells success to players who have the money in real life in afford it. You can buy xp which leads to players achieving high level skills with no work. You can buy money which not only devalues the money of every player in the game, it is just as unfair to the legitimate players as buying gold from a RWT company. No, the skills another player has do not affect me directly, but when that player can achieve those skills with no effort at all simply because they are rich in real life while the rest of us are forced to spend countless tedious hours skilling that does affect us. It makes out accomplishments completely worthless. Its similar to why people with 99 rc protested runespan. Something that used to be hard to get and take effort became incredibly easy and made their achievement worthless.
Next time, think before you start typing nonsense. All is not right with the world simply because Jagex *cough* IVP *cough* tells you it is.

Just say No to gambling. Gambling is for adults only & this S.O.F game is gambling. Saying it is not gambling is a lie. Players are spending real world money for a in-game reward. Sure its not a real world reward but it is a item of value none the less Value to game play. that is. The worst part is now our children play the S.O.F & by that you Jagex are teaching our children that it is OK for them to gamble.
I do not know how you can legally get away with allowing the S.O.F to be used by anyone under the legal age of there country's origin. I can say this though If I was English, being Canadian, it is very difficult for me to walk in to a British police station and say I want to press charges against Jagex for operating a illegal gambling den and for the corruption of minors.
If it was possible to do so financially and to do it in a feasible manner I would take you to court & challenge under the law on Jagex's legal right to allow minors to operate the S.O.F.... Do, know this Jagex I am completely serious. I would take you to court and challenge you on your legal right to operate the Squeal of fortune.
I would also launch a class action law suit against your company for contributing to the corruption of my children's morals as it is no one in my friends house under the age of 19 is allowed to play Runescape. That has been a rule there since you created it. & it will also be a rule in my house.
Get rid of the Squeal of fortune

If Jagex actually listened to it's players they would of removed the Squeal of fortune long ago. 20,000+ negative votes about it silenced. The thread was deleted because it went against their profit margin. The almighty dollar rules and the voices of thousands of players means crap!

Glad to see someone else had my idea as well (or possibly read my post since it was like a page before yours on the other thread :D ) and actually has time to run with it and publicize it. I'm just far too busy right now to deal with looking up all the needed information to see whether it's actually legal or not. Best of luck to you.
Thanks again to all the people who have been working hard on both this thread and the MMG news post thread to try and make IVP see sense. I shall be back tomorrow (providing IVP doesn't acquire a sudden desire to make me disappear from the forums before i get back) to continue trying to spread the word about what they are doing to our game.

I've skimmed some pages for supporter/buyer posts and I am greatly disappointed.
You people that actually purchase these are the reason that these promotions keep getting pushed. Stop buying your way to success in the game and start playing it you real world trading cowards, grow up already! As for you IVP, I wish you would just get lost already as you have caused massive irrefutable damage to this game's reputation to the community! I feel bad for the j-mod that has to post these threads as they know there will be massive hate towards them as they know this game is dieing quicker with every RWT update!

This completely degrades the game for people even more now. I mined for a few hours today and got around 250k xp while someone could just buy spins and get about 4m xp from just using them in probably an hour or less.

@Devans Blade - I spoke to the police and child protection and social services in the uk a while back when sof was quite new, so I do not suggest walking in to a police station, but going to your citizens advice locally is a good idea. Also you can take Jagex to Court over this. Of course they have got quite a lot of evidence built up against them by now, with different governing bodies, and there is plenty of evidence that they have lied during numerous investigations, so quick emails to the advertising standards agency and gambling association in the uk are a good idea too.
