For one, the video is roughly 3 minutes of the Jagex staff talking about how awesome they are, and secondly, I'm trying to think of any possible way they could update the combat system without aping some other popular MMO like World of Warcraft. Honestly, the game could be handing out party hats and I still wouldn't restart my membership.

Okay, I keep logging in and out, let's hope this message gets through this time.
Hey Jagex, I will admit that switching from combat style, to prayer, to magic, to swtiching weapons/eating/potions, to swtiching activating familiars, to talking to your friends is indeed a bundle of mess. Let's hope you get this combat update right.
As a f2p, cause I have no real money, I will still be waiting for this update. (Even it it takes a few months for f2p's to try it out.) Right now, I am grabbing every kind of weapon I can find. If there are any bugs/delays/errors, you can count on me to post it. Although I may not be a pker, I do know how combat works.
For all you members out there, enjoy your time beta testing.

I really look forward to the Evolution of Combat, but there is one thing I really start to wonder about when watching this Video:
What did they do to all the Stray dogs from Varrock? Probably no one thinks about them, but they are (digital) living beings just like us!
And the dog of Minnie Coup ìs allowed to wonder around the Varrock square!
Lets just hope the Varrockians found a nice (temporary) place for these poor animals, like the Church of Zamorak in the South-East.
By the way:
I agree with the person above me. Subtitles SHOULD be included. Mod Chris talks too fast for not-very-well-English-speaking-people.

I find it funny that there are always people complaining about the update, regardless of what it is.
I'm quite excited about the reworking of the combat system. To be honest, the current combat is rather boring. Click, watch, click, watch.
Also, a lot of people are talking as if Runescape modeling other MMORPGs is a bad thing. WOW is a very successful game, so why wouldn't Jagex want to incorporate some of their successful ideas now that the technology is easily available and codable?

The music playing is actually God Save the Queen, the national anthem of the United Kingdom, and the national anthem or royal anthem of some of the Commonwealth states.
America the Beautiful is set to a similar, but slightly different tune, and was composed some 150 years later which is why you might be getting confused. :) Proud leader of The MaSoRS . A skilling and community clan, founded 2003.

The Jubilee content looks amazing and a cant wait to try that out! However im a little bit skeptical about the combat update ....
It just seems like your trying to make it more like WOW, and i no that its successful but ive tried the game out and if im honest i hated the way the combat worked. I must say that im very intrigued about it though and cant wait for the beta, maybe the whole thing will be good for the game ... only time will tell.
