I can't stop being amazed at how Mod Zach(or ANY other mod) only responds to positive posts/comments, and ignores ALL NEGATIVE and TRUE ones.
Max respect guys, greed is cool.

"We took a look at the current levels and many players were fine with what was available, but there has been demand amongst some players for training skills above level 70. The option to purchase more levels allows those with a specific need to get more, without the cost being passed on to everyone." -Galahad Sir
I see what you did there ;)
At the end of the day bank space does not equal power or a gameplay advantage when in combat or directly skilling. It does help with convenience as pointed out earlier which was the intent of the update.

"Buying RS gold? Nope, definitely not happening.
Mod Drebin"
In the Squeal of Fortune there's a big new button that says "convert to coin". What do you have to say to that? Jagex is already selling RS gold. Even if you want to say that it's such a small amount that it's ridiculous to say so, it's still the truth. I can spend my real-life money on SoF spins, spin a whole bunch of times, and have more money than I did before without putting any time or effort into the actual game.
I wasn't completely against Solomon's General Store, because it sold cosmetic items that didn't give anyone an actual advantage over me. The way that I earned my money and skills was still the best and most legitimate. That is no longer the case. I really, really would like more bank space, but in order to purchase 250 extra bank spaces, I would have to spend $50 in Solomon's General Store. That is 10 months of membership for me, which is absolutely ridiculous. At my current age I can't get a job and so I don't have enough money to purchase that, putting me, as a young person who is unemployed, at a disadvantage to older players with money to spare for the game, even though I have put hundreds of days into this game, more than many adults, and have the same mental capabilities to play the game as any other player.

Um... Where to begin?
You can buy bank spaces with cash... bank spaces that always came free previously, almost as soon as the technical capability allowed. Now to be sold for cash or a ridiculously large pile of Loyalty points.
Bank spaces which are required because some players are 10X spam-spinning the Squeal of Fortune, not the least being the spoiled children of IVP and Jagex employees, who want their parents to buy them every success in the game overnight; RC cape, OP weapons and armour, etc., etc. This is perhaps the scariest part of the current trend for me, that Runescape will become some infant-tyrant's private kiddie-pool full of overpriced yellow Kool-Aid. ("Only $5 a glass! It's Cosmetic!!!!&quot ;)
What new content is being developed that is on the cutting edge of what is possible in terms of coding the game? I have been following certain things closely, as Jagex well knows... this cash grab had better result in FRIGHTENINGLY GOOD CONTENT. If it does not, all these people who are angry at you right now will have been proven correct, including predicting the death of Runescape.

@mods you are all doing an excellent job. I believe you know the age range of your audience, they are for the most part, young kids. Those that do not understand that there is no such thing as free. Hosting, employee wages, etc, all require a good amount of money. I have a good job with disposable income and do not mind spending a few extra $$ to a game that I have been playing since RS started and I was in Junior High School / when Runescape started.
@all of the ragers... This is just more bank space and has no advantage.... Well, possibly a psychological advantage thing with hording pixels. You can also use your rewards points, assuming you are a member. If you are not a member, why are you complaining about something that is free?

***** ALL OF YOU. JAGEX LISTENED TO US.
I for one am glad that they chose to add this to the Loyalty Shop after hundreds of complaints about how Loyalty Points couldn't be used to purchase Solomon's things.
Perhaps in time, more of the stuff from Solomon's Store will be added to the Loyalty Shop.
Thanks, Jagex.
I needed the space.
PS, THERE IS NO ADVANTAGE BEING SOLD.
We members get like 500+ bank spaces (yes, I am a member on two other accounts). I have no idea why on Gielinor anyone would ever need more than that.
100 spaces for quest items and random stuff like lanterns, rope, etc.
75 spaces for armour, weapons, runes, summoning supplies
20 spaces for food and pots
20 spaces for logs, ore, and crafting supplies
20 spaces for seeds, produce, and other farming related items
That's 215 spaces used, less than half of what Jagex makes available to us.
As for F2P players, there's really nothing useful to put in the bank as rune/d'hide is the best armour so it's not like you need to store dozens of armour sets
20 spaces for armour, runes, weapons
10 spaces for food and strength pots
20 spaces for logs, ore, and crafting supplies
That leaves you with 30+ spaces left to do with as you wish.
