I don't see what the big deal is with the general store. I don't have any real problem with it since everything is cosmetic. However, there are a few things I take issue with.
1. Rune Coins can expire if you don't use them even if you pay real money for them (see qfc 14-15-320-63947714)
2. I don't want coins and experience lamps from the stupid wheel. I would gladly give them all back if you will supply me with the cosmetic items I keep hoping to spin.
3. Bots have full squeal outfits and I can't manage to get some of the pieces.
4. The squeal stuff is starting to take a sizable chunk of my bank. Give me something in my player owned home where I can store the pieces (should not have to be full sets)
5. For pendants of skill, don't turn them black when the experience is used. That's not cosmetic, it's just ugly. With #4, it wouldn't matter if you got lots of different necklaces anyway. Or, like someone else mentioned, if you spin one of the necklaces, you unlock the ability to change any depleted ones back to that color. Then you only need to keep 1 depleted prized and 1 depleted regular to maintain the cosmetic appeal.
6. Don't remove some of the spin items that I haven't gotten unless there are other ways to obtain it (i.e. dragon ceremonial, queen's guard, sunbathe emote, etc.)
But the general store I have no major beef with. People will pay money for cosmetics if they want them and they'll complain if they want to about it. Ultimately, there is no advantage from the sets so it's not that big of a deal. On the other hand, I would be completely okay with you giving me the rest of the cosmetics from the squeal wheel and then completely removing it from the game; I can earn money and I can gain experience on my own but I can't get those cosmetics as a drop (at this point in time).
