even though this isn't the kind of update i'd like to see, you have to understand that jagex is a business, and its their job to do this kind of stuff as their source of income

I'm personally fine with SOF and Solomon. I mean it would be nice to be able to win 400m. I just want buyable spins to be removed because it's really just using cash to earn gold and experience. Really Jagex? Wealthier players in real life can just buy as much spins as they want to become rich in the game which puts less wealthier players in real life at a disadvantage.
Jagex should find more creative ways of getting spins and just remove the ability to buy them altogether. Perhaps a player should get spins for renewing membership or whatever in a similar fashion a player gets more loyalty points the longer they are a member.
tl;dr: SOF is fine just get rid of buyable spins.

Hmm.. Constructive criticism..
How about if you replaced an item with or added runecoins to the squeel? If buyable spins were to be removed, this would make a genuine effort to uphold your integrity and win back a part of the community. Sure, it might generate less income, but it would also secure and rebuild many players' faith in you as a company, which in turn would possibly keep people interested in the game, which would generate more money for the company. I belive that overall this would secure the longevity of the game.
Well, this and fixing actual issues like bots.

Bit late of a response, but @Timo...
By "overwhelming hatred" I didn't mean it was towards the mods, but to the updates.
I'm pretty sure you're aware that most people want to see the buyable spins removed.
That's the most mentioned idea to >improve< SoF.
I myself don't care that much about Solomon, but I'd rather see the items being released as rewards from something.
Also what I'd like to see from SoF is it not just randomly appearing on-screen, how does that fit into the lore at all?
If you ask me, daily spins and buyable spins should both be removed, and spins should be given as a reward from quests, drops, and minigames (like they are now) instead. Just that.
I've never seen a mod talk about the investors before, and I don't know if they're even allowed to, but how about you shed a little light on how big of a hand they have in these micro-transactions. (They obviously had to do with some of the stuff in Maplestory, they're the same investors for those who don't know)
One more thing that I'd like to mention is the ads I get when I log in. When you pay for membership it shows "no adverts in-game". I'm not getting what I paid for with the SoF/Solomon ads. Either remove that from the Member's Benefits or give people what they're promised.
That is all, hope this wasn't just a waste of my time and I hope RS doesn't go down the drain just yet
