Kudos to Jagex, I would sincerely like to see more of this type of tactic "Name and Shame" this will help us, the genuine gamers feel better about knowing what truly goes on behind the scenes when you say "We've banned people" I for one am for this.
Furthermore, anyone worried about the rares being manipulated, this practice of injecting things into the game is not a single occurance, and since we do not know of the actual numbers of rares (if any) we (the players) simply can not speculate nor can we know if in fact the rareity of the item has changed (bear in mind, people alch rares too) and yet we seldom worry about that (pun intended lol)
-If I were offered a slave, I'd say no- "Brian Griffin" (for the lolz?)
Thank you its been a while since Jagex has firmly taken a stand and publicly banned multiple players. They deserved every bit of it and Im glad you took the time to display their names and time played so other players would not be tempted to do things like this themselves.
woo a few dozen ppl banned for using a bug yet go to the mature grotworm lair! how many bots are now making mills there for no hard work, when i go there i can barely make any GP due to the large masses of bots present. its a discusting thing that jagex has let happen at their new grotworm area and i have seen many runescape friends leave the game to the fact that we feel like were wasting our time when we see other players botting and making cash for no work.
if jagex wants to keep players in the game than acting now is the only solution, yes they now have 200mill+ accounts but how many are bots? how many are ppl who quit due to the bot masses?
Botters or complete crash of the rs economy, lets see whats more important...
Yea this was a bigger issue, glitches give insane amount of either money or exp so OBV they're more important to kill than bots..
While I'm glad that Jagex is alerting us of action taking place, I don't think it was right to publicly shame anyone, even if little to no personal info could be gathered from us simply knowing their RSN.
Still, kudos. Thought it was gonna go unnoticed like RoW glitch.
