I was irritated but unsurprised by the introduction of the SoF. I'm still unsurprised, but I'm now wondering where you guys are going to stop: purchasable and randomised advantages for cash were one thing (they're opt-in, after all), but now graphical updates, emotes, and titles, too? Loyalty advantages were a whole other kettle of fish: at least you have to show genuine commitment to the game to unlock upper tier rewards. How long is it going to be before you're selling upper tier equipment?
Most games go for either a subscription model or a pay-for-perks; it's distressing that you're trying to do both, and I sincerely hope the things you're selling remain at the cosmetic, and therefore ignorable, end of the scale. The day I realise that another player has an advantage over me by dint of the contents of their wallet (and their willingness to empty it) is the day I'll walk. Sadly, at this rate of going, I doubt it will be all that long before we see it.
If I were in your shoes I'd have a good read of this discussion thread, and then a good think. Undoubtedly this has proved to be a cash cow so far; otherwise you wouldn't be so persistent with SoF updates, and now Solomon. But if you've got a cash cow, you might consider giving it some grass, too. This month's updates look lackluster - it almost looks like there's more purchasable updates than universal ones.
Finally, a brief note to anyone who's regularly buying, or considering, SoF spins (even myself - I have purchased the second-smallest bundle twice). If you're spending a small amount of money, fine. Just be aware of what you're buying - a pig in a poke. And that is fine - people go to Vegas all the time. Some even win big. On the other hand, if you're purchasing in amounts that mean you're actually seeing a measurable advantage - such as a few hundred thousand xp or a "lucky" item - have a really good think about your spending.
