*facepalm*
Okay, I supported the sof when it first came out. It was a cool idea, and I was grateful for the xp lamps and small prizes. I LIKED the sof.
Then you came out with buying spins. I thought to myself "well, Jagex is a business, and if they want to get more money, then I suppose it's their business." Everything else that went with that update was good, but I just decided to ignore the option to buy spins. "Whatever," was my response.
Recently you've added the Solomon's Store into the game. It's not sof, but it's still pushing us to give you more money. And the playerbase does NOT approve of buying runecoins like some sort of Facebook game. I know there are always some necessary changes that the majority of the players will disapprove of (like removing free trade and wilderness back in the day), but this is certainly not one of those. If you want more money, create content that will increase your playerbase and make them want to pay for more accounts. The Clan Citadel update got me to buy membership for my noob account so it could work in my clan's citadel. That's what you want.
You guys just can't stop yourselves with this sof concept, can you? It's not your greatest idea ever, that would be Dungeoneering/EoC. Sof ought to be a little reward to the players for playing each day; just a quick prize, maybe some xp, and then move on. Why, I ask you, have so many of the recent news feeds been centered on or have touched on the sof? It's not deserving of this much attention. They may be easy updates to implement, but they're getting old, and they're getting old fast. We've had an extra spin for a month, fish masks, ceremonial outfits, extra xp lamps, pendants, monkey items, and I'm sure I missed something in there.
I guess I'm just disappointed that Jagex is relying on sof to try and keep their players interested, at least until EoC goes live.
