Just because it says bonus xp doesn't mean its going to be some giant xp lamp or something. It probably will be something that you get bonus xp while you train. Which I don't mind. No one should ever complain about having to train their skills. Also, it says powerful item. Not weapon. yes it uses the word powerful which everyone automatically links to fighting/weapons. That may not be the case at all.
The main problem I have with this is that its just... free. As a member, I think we should at least have to do a quest or some sort of event to get the items, etc.
Of course. It doesn't really say how we get them either, so perhaps a quest will be involved.

To those who are saying that this is just another way jagex is trying to get people's money... They aren't really doing anything to get money. its just saying 'thanks members for sticking it out throughout all these changes' It's not pay x amount of money for these items... As far as I know... no one is going to get a membership for a game just for these things. If I'm not willing to pay to play a game, I certainly won't pay just for a few bonuses.
I'm not going to suddenly turn on jagex because they want to show their appreciation t the players who help keep the game going.
(Nothing is free, and with the amount of players and their demands I doubt ads will be able to pay for everything)

I agree, even though im a noob ( in level but not in time playing XD), any bonus kit should not be any better then something like a dragon longsword, a weapon which gives more exp would be really excellent though Jagex

Question, I only found out about this update today... A little bummed out that if I known sooner, I would have payed member ship before August came. But oh well..
But I am wondering, if I sign up now, would I still be able to recieve the september bonus instead? Not the doubled exp from August, but the half of that.. or does that also only apply to those that were members at the start of August as well...?
