It really kind of bums me out how they actually said "45$ worth of stuff" (even in bold text!) as if they're using THAT as an enticement (or rather lure) for us to subscribe, and they're even self-aware of the RWT going on...
I need actual motivation to subscribe to RS, not free stuff. The game can't go on if they just keep reeling us back in for a quick buck... They need to make updates that will get us to STAY subscribed.

my only concerns with this, is that if i am already a member, do i need to renew before midnight of august 1st? or can i renew mid-way through and still reap the rewards. Also you guys that are complaining about all these updates, need to just relax. This game has been an MMORPG for over 10 years. Look at WoW, its been out for almost 10 years and their last DLC was horrible. So like stop raging on Jagex and runescape they give you new updates every month WOW every couple of years. You design a guy for millions of people and try to please them all. I enjoy the game the way it is. Thanks guys for all your hard work. 8 years running

1)The Squeal of Fortune is absolutely not gambling, as the items featured on the wheel (plus all other items in RuneScape) don't have value in real life.
2) Ok, time to advertise xp, incredibly cheap combat buffs, and Squeal of Fortune spins for being worth as much as $45 in real life!
1)The Squeal of Fortune is not at all real world trading, because we entirely re-did the RWTing rule section that stated buying gp and items with real money gives players an unfair advantage.
