No the bot nuke was for awards that were about to be presented shortly after... what would the game reviewers think of a game which was over run by bots?
None the less, Yeah most of them are bots, go figure, jagex knows this and yeah they will keep calling go fish while we flail about wondering if we actually enjoy runescape.
Whats more, we cant exactly advertise next to their home page that the figure is incorrect because most of them are bots. With the name thfhdb who they 'ban' on a daily basis.
I also don't see how they can substantiate 200million accounts in a game that on average hosts 150000 players in game! less than that 0.001% of the critical mass they claim to have gathered over the past 6 years or so. what does that say about their game? 200 million people have made accounts! (cough most of them bots) and the ones who were actual players usually quit because we have a small user base which is sort of big but not really.
So yeah, what are we actually celebrating here? the fact that the game we play is popular for cheating and being generally unpopular amongst gamers in general? or that we acknowledge that we pay a bunch of halfwit publicists who know nothing about the game they are advertising?
