With EoC, I was exited to return to my first and favorite mmo.
But now...
"We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape."
Not to mention that the gamecards were roughly 8$=30 days of gametime, now apparently its 10$=30 days. If the price ratio were the same as it was, 10$ would = 37.5 days of gametime. Even with this TEMPORARY bonus of five days of gametime, your only getting 35 days. (I dont have a problem with sub fee increase, its the way it seems it was done that irks me.)
My biggest issue though, its not like I can't afford extra stuff- its that I REFUSE TO BUY IT. When I'm paying you a monthly sub fee already, regardless of how much that fee is, and you bring in all these gimmicks trying to get me to pay MORE.. I really just dont wanna play at all. I dont like that kinda business tactic, it seems dishonest to me. If I pay you a monthly fee, I expect acess to everything your product has to offer. I mean I AM already paying you for it, right?
I understand its a business, and that saying "Jagex is being greedy" isnt really fair, but at this point its hurting the game for me. If you need to be making more money, increase the sub fee price. But dont bring in all these lame gimmicks and ruin the game.
I put up with Squeal because its lame and even if you had 50 spins you probably wouldnt get anything a normal player couldnt get easily enough in game, but this new shop, and the (what is from my point of view, (because I saw no announcement on it)) sneaky underhanded sub fee increase for card users....
Im only one customer, and one that hasnt kept a fulltime membership for a few years now at that, but if RS dosnt return to being one monthly fee for total acess, then im not very likely to resuscribe. (And for the record, I was planning to resuscribe when EoC goes live.)
