Keep complaining players but in the end there can only be non-cosmetic stuff added to the Solomon Cash Shop. SWTOR is going f2p. This will be very bad to games with subscriptions as almost their sole income stream.
My next revelation is WoW will merge their servers soon. That will be a prelude to the sale of Blizzard.
Eventually all online games will have microtransactins unless they choose to shut down.
Fear not players though because you are not going to quit playing online games. You will change your hearts like the pigs in George Orwell's Animal Farm.
Four legs good , two legs bad... No, let try again.... Two legs good, four legs bad...
Subscription good, cash shop bad... No, cash shop good, subscription dead.
Pigs will stand on their hind legs. Online game players will have no choice but to endorse microtransactions.
Mark my words. ;)

This post really made me sad:

"Sorry jagex but this is it. loyal member of your game since 2002. logging in to get my vet cape then canceling membership. i would hope that in the future you realize your mistakes and try and correct them, however it probably wont happen and i am certainly never going to even look at the homepage to find out. this game is now dead to me.
To all you other players out there still playing, give them hell from me - Good Luck."
That really did make me extremely sad to see that you are quitting in all honesty. Especially since I started playing from the moment you did, which almost makes me so sad to see another veteran go... I will hope that 1 day you come back, because he actually did quit. I checked when he last posted, etc.
I hope Jagex doesn't have to see this to understand what he went through, losing 10 years of gaming to this. And I find it extremely sad, but after all, Jagex does what they have to do for business interests...

Back in 2010 when a player quitted he threw away his entire bank in a drop party and then deleted his account. See what a 10 year veteran did now?

REAL online game veterans don't really quit over microtransactions because they don't have other online games to play and they are not going to play Pacman. Think how one would know about the Veteran Cape if they didn't care and never looked at the homepage? Think why somebody would claim a member only cape and then cancel his membership only to have no way to show off his Veteran Cape?
This kind of "quitting" veterans will always be around the game even if they don't touch their veteran accounts.
To show more determination about quitting they need to throw away their billion coins bank in drop parties or else everybody will just say "see you in a week" or "see you in your alts".
BTW, for those who are quitting online games for Pacman over microtransactions you better hurry before the new options of buying extra lifes, customizations and PacPets are in place. :p

Okay, I understand that people are upset cause it seems like Jagex only cares about money; however, how many of you have thought about the costs of running an online game? Believe it or not it costs money to run a game; point in fact, cost of electric to run the servers, cost of staff to program, cost of staff to read through complaints to attempt to fix bugs, cost of updating servers and speed. all of the for mentioned things cost money as do many other things involved in keeping this game alive. Jagex use to relay more on adds to cover these costs; yet, the money in running ads has dropped as stores and businesses have found they are not as affective as they had hoped they would be. So how do you all suggest they meet the costs of running this game or would you rather they shut it down. One as someone suggested they can up membership price; which may end up happening if people choice not to support there idea's outside of membership; or they can come up with other ways such as Solomon's Store to bring in the money hoping that people will choice to use it. I will agree though it would be nice to see them expand the actual game play; new quests, items, maps so forth and so on would be great and give new things for people to do and keep them interested in the game. Now another suggestion for Jagex that might take some of the sting off of Solomon's store is to maybe give members a handful of runecoins for their loyalty each month in having membership, (this has worked for other programs), also Jagex maybe figure out a way for people to earn the runecoins both of these would be a step in showing your still loyal to your players.

Just go there, any question, ask there, I think it's simple and important to know about who likes and dislikes SoF and/or SGS. (this is what the thread is about)
