Funding this new game is a waste. It should be used to further benefit the dying community of RS3. 65% of the Runescape community is maxed, new players have mostly died off. Please reconsider this. You could make so much new content with the money you will spend on a crappy phone app. I personally will not be playing idle adventures, seems like a huge waste of time. Anyways, whatever you do please don't forget about RS3/OSRS.

making apps are pretty cheap compared to other video games.

runescape is on a decline just like other old pc mmo games are. Creating new content in game is not going help too much with growing it, Really nothing they do will bring new people or make those new people stick around unless they fundamentally changed the game.

Personally I really hope they are working on a real successor of runescape that is modern and can be played on pc/consoles and even phones.

Runescape won't get a true a successor as far as we know. The only step forward would be for Jagex to release a completely new game that will also be successful. So far, that hasn't happened yet. At the moment the only thing Jagex can do is make games based on Runescape.

I'd hate to burst your bubble, but much of the content Jagex has released isn't very good. Besides, phone apps are inexpensive to produce and I doubt the funding for Runescape: Idle Adventures can produce even a single decent update on Runescape proper.

At this point Jagex would be better off resuming development of Stellar Dawn. They've done all they can for Runescape. There's no way for this game to gain new players like it used to no matter how good future updates may be. This happens to every MMO.

Been playing this for a few days now and I have to say its not too bad.

I do have some feedback/critism though, I hope you take it on board:

1. There is no way to check your total level without manually counting each skill. A display somewhere, possibly above abilities or on the tool tips (as these are unlocked via total level) to show current total. This is the same for combat total as well.

2. All trade skills are the same. All they do is produce anima at varying rates. I would love to see these fleshed out a bit more like combat skills have. Or an alternate way to train them like Dungeons are to combat skills. Perhaps gathering resources to make items/potions/weapons/armour etc.

3. It doesn't feel like an Idle game! Almost everything requires constant attention. You can't just leave it on overnight/for a few hours because everything has a cap which needs to be manually reset. I appreciate that you don't want people to get 99 in everything without doing anything. But hard limits are not the answer. Add things like deminishing returns after a set amout of idle time/xp gained. Sort of like a 'fatigue' system where you become less efficent the longer time spent away.

4. Manual save option. I hate having to close the window and not knowing if my progress has been saved. I know there is an auto save after each skill level up, each dungeon etc, but these don't always seem to save progress to next level.

5. Can dungeons remember which skills you used last when starting a new one? It's really irritating selecting 3 skills from the clumsy menu each time.
