Well the developers basically blamed the players despite putting out pitiful amounts of new content. Yeah sure they fixed the balancing a bit but that isn't what the game needed. It needed new content and balance coming later. Even though its early access if you have to play through the same content over and over but slightly different then it gets boring quick, only the most dedicated players would do that. It's their own fault this happened they had the MICRO-TRANSACTIONS Store completed basically the first few weeks of early access. To give you a time-frame it took several months for them to create a statistics counter to keep track of progress. Now that they see they can't milk Runescape as good as they thought because of their own miscalculations, they blame the players and shut it down.
