Perhaps RuneScape NXT could be released on Steam in the future? What if thats one of the upcoming reveals? There is no evidence for this, but it's an interesting idea.

It would make sense to have RuneScape NXT supported by Steam and it could open up so many possibilities for the future. Some of Steams main features wouldn't be too compatible with RuneScape NXT. Such as, Steam achievements or the Workshop.

I believe Steam support for RuneScape NXT could streamline update implementation and allow for better servers and just a better optimised client.

There's the possibility that Steam could greatly increase the playerbase and generate more interest in the game in that community.

Or, maybe there are too many reasons why this shouldn't happen or that RuneScape should keep away from a platform like that?
