You can download the client next Friday at 10AM, you will have access at noon. I think that's what you saw. :p

EDIT: I think if you can see the 'NXT BETA' on the forums, you should have access.

In a BETA, they can target whatever groups of players they wish. They are TESTING out the new client and trying to optimize it. Their tests will likely go better if the servers are not FLOODED with every single possible player out there.
