What a load of bullspit. This is just another MTX to siphon more of your money into the pockets of the IVP investors. Selling gold, no matter HOW they spin, slice, or dice it.

There are some young people who play RS who are naive enough to belive this crock of crap. Most of us are neither that young nor that naive.

Jacmob is/was the developer and seller of one of the better bots made for RS. And now we are to believe that he weely twuly has the players' best interests at heart? Give me a break!

Does anyone still question why they have made this game pay to win? Look at the login numbers!

What happened to listening to the players? Why can't gold farmers just ignore bonds and continue to sell everything else? Its looks like you just added another payment option.

Oh, and its obvious those player remarks in the news post are fake. Even if you're just masking the player's name for their safety, we can't take it as valid feedback. Also, how could an average player give definite feedback on something they have yet to try? Why would a gold farmer comment that their business is ruined?

I bet gold farmers are laughing reading this right now.

A clear, accesible survey should suffice to settle this. Like the Free trade and OSRS surveys. If we vote no, it goes, if we vote yes, it stays. The year of the player right?

Great idea, if it really was the year of the player jagex would listen to this.

The way I see it, gold farming isn't very common anymore, except perhaps between friends or such, which I don't see as a problem.
Either way, AS LONG AS THE PROFITS ON YOUR END GO INTO THE GAME I'm fine with it.
I can now buy my friend membership for his online wealth.

They're not really selling gold, guys. Their concern is money being artificially injected into the game via gold farmers. By introducing bonds, players can now buy them and then sell them for gold, yes - but in the process, no money is being injected into the in-game economy.

So, yes, it's indirect, and yes, it's a little duplicitous, but it achieves Jagex's goals quite smoothly. A pessimist might say those goals would involve selling gold without taking a wrecking ball to the economy, and perhaps he/she would be right. At the very least, it's a nice gold sink.
Patrolling Lore FC almost makes you wish for a Great Revision.
