Folks, I'm just gonna restate it here. Bonds DO NOT , I repeat, DO NOT add gold into the game . You can buy them for real money, but the bonds do not inject gold into the game. They are redeemed for out of game things like membership, sof spins, and runecoins. At no time do these bonds inject gold into the RS economy . It's a gold sink . It's a sure fire thing that billions of gold have already been removed from the game via exchanging them for bonds. I've checked W2, and there are people selling THOUSANDS of bonds. That's a LOT of gold gone from the game. Good work, Jagex. I do hope that people will stop panicking and quitting rs before being fully informed.

I dont play crapscape 3 anymore just sometimes log into game to talk with old mates or just check updates..

So anyways jagex you did it again... Another game ruining content which will leech new players even more...

Jagex mistakes in my opinion:
- 2007 wildy and free trade removal... Times when 70% of runescape economy was loot gained from PvP in wilderness.. 60% of player base were PvP'ers and they got a big "Girl Slap" which ofc lead to Mass player and their Income loss...

- 2011 after ~2-4 years when players adapted to new system.. BAM Free trade and Old Wildy is back.. Low-Medium player loss again.. because lots of ppl got rich off safe wilderness exploring and hunting Dragons, Revenants and when they couldnt make more easy money they quitted..

-2011 BAM loyality shop appeared ingame.. This was probably the first time when jagex said "Feed me with your precious money" because they were still watching their population dropping down meaning less paying player which ment game doesnt make profit..

-2012 the Solomons store.. oh god jagex was already copying thing from way more popular and better MMORPG's.. Then they started to stuff that shop to today when we can see bunch of crap which cost nice amount of Real-Life money...

-2012 the EOC... ducked old but gold combat system.. Weaker connections/limited amount of internet/ older computers couldnt run game, internet limits were hitted fast, mass amount of laggs not to mention the system itself was junk... Massive Veteran player loss with some new players too..

-2013 so far the "Bonds" will be probably biggest pile of dump this year.. why? because jagex saw they cant control RWT so they decided to make their own RWT system and now RSGP got legal ratio..

Most of veterans know so you got you own "Jagex Bot" which was ~30-50% of bots back in 2011-2013.. Gold farming for your "secret" gold shops.. Bots nukes? More like lies....

I had way more to say but couldnt put it into 1 message..

They just never learn..

I really really really REALLY hope this works. Well done guys for tackling this, and I hope the player-base will join together to help ensure that this update works. Well Done Jagex!!

This won't stop gold farming, the update just means gold traders will lower their prices to compete and offer better prices than Jagex selling bonds. They will use the average price of bonds that players are selling them at to get the new average on what the price of GP should be and compete with Jagex in terms of selling GP.

Unless I am missing something?

Will bounds work for Old School Runescape too?
Bonds are not being introduced into Old School RuneScape. If you purchase a bond from Jagex the in-game bond item will only be given to your RuneScape 3 avatar.

However, because membership credit is shared accross both games if you redeem a bond for membership in RuneScape 3 you will get the benefit of membership in Old School RuneScape.

For my part, i like the new possibilies, I'll be able to invite f2p friends every now and then. And, as I play on german servers, it might help repopulate the member servers with gold-wise rich f2p players becoming members.


PS: As mods are roaming this Thread: My Papaya tree at herblore habitat won't grow back after inadvertently cutting it down. It used to grow back unless you dug out the root. A little side effect bug from the recent update?

You forget that buying from gold sellers didnt add money either it was already there, instead of taking from illegal players your just taking it from legit players now, they basically just started there own rwt ring.
