This is all just a bunch of bs, mmg gave a inter view when he first became ceo and was asked back then about selling gold and said then that jagex wasnt ruling anything out so this has been planned for ages.

This is just the another step in the complete sell out of the principals on which we have been fed by jagex as to how this game is ran.

Sounds to me like Jagex is sick of the money going to Gold Farming companies and not themselves. It is sad to see my childhood game go down the tube. Keep trying to get an extra buck all you want, the players won't stick around if you continue to run your business and game like this Jagex.. :/

@Mellow Green. If you are an adult please prove it by being respectful and mature. The primary goal of any company is to make money, JAGEX is no different. However bots make up 50% of their coustomer base. They are effectively losing money everytime they ban a bot. While the Bond Update will increase their income it pales in comparison to the assets they devote to combating botting which is one of their biggest sources of income. It's not just a money grab. It's a choice between two evils.

Personally, I like this update. It allows someone else to buy membership for me
and I pay them with gp. W2 price for bonds is about 7m now, so if I can skill
3.5m gp per week, I get a free membership, without having to worry about
dodgy websites or Jagex banning me for breaking the rules.
