I've been on the beta for about 2 hrs now, and i think the updates are quite nice. PvP proves to be more of a challenge now that certain abilities have been altered. I would like to point out, however, that the update essentially renders the SNIPE ability useless in PvP, as well as most PvM situations, due to its delay in offence. SNAPSHOT is also a bit sluggish, and the tick difference between the 2 hits actually makes it easier to combo out an opponent because the 2nd hit will land around the same time as the next ability. If one uses the normal combo of SNAPSHOT and SHADOW TENDRILS, it's almost a guaranteed kill.
i think barge should be on its own cooldown timer separate from surge/escape. melee has no advantage over range, you can either just lure a meleer around with frag shot forcing the freedom then stun and kill or stay super far away and troll a meleer to death. melee is ridiculously underpowered in pvp. thanks
After being on the beta for quite sometime, im really pleased with how its going! All these melee updates are useful and should really get more people to go and get those two-handed weapons and go pking! I think melee was a bit under ranged and magic at first now, I see a great change in melee and it definitely is a great change! My only concern about pvp is that there should be some sort of penalty when drinking a saradomin brew as drinking one doesn't drain your adrenaline. I hope people don't just take loads of saradomin brews and keep eating (in this case drinking) to full
