It did my heart good to read that right there. It was with a 'heavy heart' that I watched the damage to this game throughout the last 5 years, and it was with a 'heavy heart' that I let go of the game in 2010.

So it does my heart good to know that it is with a 'heavy heart' that you should leave here.

My first thought was "good, maybe things will improve now and early next year there will be reason to check in on the game". Then I realized that the rest of that post said pips is taking over..

Pips is the one that wanted to start old school with a bxp weekend. That doesn't offer much hope to the future (or repairing any damage) as far as I can see.

, You've had such a great impact Better for worse from all the years you've been apart of Jagex and even though there may have been some content many players disagreed with it's really good to know you had the best intent of the game at heart and in the end reached a point where majority was pleased, best of luck to you and the future of Runescape.

I only just got to see this forum thread..

I guess this is not being read by your anymore Mark Gerhard,
however i still want to thank you so much for everything you did at Jagex. I still can't believe what i just read, it's heartripping i really liked you. In person and as CEO of Jagex i wish you the very best of luck in life with any future (jobs?) carreer.

Atleast I'm attending RuneFest 2014 so we'll still be able to talk!! we shall miss you mark gerhard.
