I am amazed.

It's 2014 now.
Since RuneFest in 2010, I doubt the breakdown of players has changed any.

What's more; I'm speechless that you have still to this day not considered hosting a fest in North America.

Couple your geographical data table for your communities' region breakdown with the poll you held in the last requesting all players opinions on where the next RuneFest should be held (reminding you that North America destroyed all other options, one out of three available choice cities in the country alone trouncing the UK) I am utterly confused as to why you money grubbing nuts haven't hosted one across the seas.

Complete side-tracking of subjects here but never before have I seen or read a compiled table as to your players locations. I knew North America held a higher populace but.. nearly 2x Europe plus the fact that we alone make up over half?

I figured one of the higher ups would be practically foaming at the mouth at this information and the potential for the money gain. Admission alone is insane for your event, pair that with whatever else earns you revenue at these things?

Psh..

It's a great PR tactic to try and divert the community to your obviously not so well received previous post. You continue to be just as doggy as your bot players as you still don't acknowledge anything that the community really cares about.

A very interesting read. Probably the most fascinating one I have ever read as virtually every piece of news is related to in game content and/or recent game updates. It is refreshing to read something that does not have anything directly to do with something going on in the game (not that those are bad; they are just the vast majority of the main page threads).

This all sounds good, and the state of the game clearly seems to be in a better place with the very noticeable reduction in bots/gold farmers. People may say what they want about the player count being low on worlds, but frankly, I am very happy with it as it's certainly not abandoned on the worlds. I am able to accomplish what I wish to skill and kill wise efficiently without huge competition at many locations. If I want to find people, there is always the grand exchange. Or world 2. Or almost any mini game if you go to that lobby on it's home world. So, there is no shortage of seeing and talking to other players in the game if that is what is desired.

I personally am very happy with the state of Runescape. I have no real complaints with how you choose to do your micro payments (I do not buy spins. I have bought $20 of Runecoins twice for all the bank updates, a couple of cosmetic overrides, and I just HAD to have the wealth evaluator once for two weeks just to see one time what my bank value was. Now that I have that number in my head, I don't see the need to repurchase it for a very long time.) Most of these things just are not interesting or relevant to me. The number of updates is a bit much to keep up with. There are just constantly large content updates it seems that redefine ways to train a skill, and it's just become too much for me to keep up with or even really care about anymore. I guess by this point, I train how I train and it's already PLENTY saturated doing my day to day Runescaping.

Thanks for the message.

But unfortunaly you are selling xp and that has caused me and many many others to stop playing the game. I will wait for the day you stop selling xp and will happily start playing again.

in the same boat.

I would also like to see the statistics of things like players wealth from years ago. becuase Jagex state only 1% have over 1 bil, but todays rich players are richer then the players years ago, because of the effect that botting, flower game, and SOF/TH have had on players wealth. e.g rich players now have something like 50b.

Thank you MMG for the information.

The one thing that stands out to me is the male/female stat.
Every clan I have been in has been 60/40 at least, with most being over 30 years old.

Jagex has never asked my gender or age. Where did you get your information from? The last gaming information I have read stated that the male/female gap was almost 50/50 for this type of game.

I have read many people demanding that runefest be held in the USA because 57% of players are located there.
The graph clearly states that it is NORTH AMERICA. For our American readers this means Canada, USA and Mexico.
. The large, English player population lives very close to the the runefest location. North America is HUGE, with only a small player base being located close to any chosen American runefest location.

So now that it is out there as established fact that the majority of all players are North America...

Can RuneFest come stateside now?

Plane ticket from Mexico to Canada is only $500 as compared to $800 for NYC to London. But that's if you buy 7 months in advance. Last year when it was announced, prices were around $2000.
