Unfortunately, I am rather disappointed in this year's Premier Club packages.

Upsides:
The amount of Loyalty points is rather large, which is cool.
Exclusive Q&A sounds interesting, more time for players to help influence the game.
Of course the 12 month membership is great for those that have to buy store cards - or just have to buy on a monthly basis and find it annoying.

Downsides:
For starters, there is a significant price increase. Not only does it cost more, but it seems like you get less of a reward from last year. Pig pets may be great and all, but why would anyone pay that much for them? VIP worlds just separate the community even more, after voting for less worlds. The VIP badges may also confuse some players into thinking they are employed by Jagex; though against the rules they probably wouldn't get punished until they have already harmed another account(*).

Overall I feel like this year's Premier Club is less bang for your buck .

What a brilliant way to split the community EVEN further, with the 'VIP' worlds and the 'i'm richer than you' badges. Seriously it seems like jagex are almost TRYING to kill their game. I wouldn't normally mind but for £52 AND no rune coins? What a rip off.

EDIT: I am aware that there is more to the package but I'm comparing the package to last year's where we got pretty much the same things except for (about) £30, I only got that for the rune coins anyway.


At least let the rest of us turn off the stars, I find them obstructive when using a nearly transparent chatbox.

I find a huge hole in your logic here Mod Infinity.

I purchased last years gold package, so I already have all of 2013 promotional items, none of which is impressive in any way.

Last years membership cost me an additional $14.95 U S, since my Month to month grandfathered rate is $5.00/month. I justified this by the inclusion of Runecoins which actually can buy a few things in Solomon's store. Now these are replaced with Loyalty points which I already have too many of, with nothing unique to buy with them.

Now the new "Deal" comes out and it is a whopping $26.50 more than paying month to month, and are saying it is worth it because I get a couple of worthless pig pets and more loyalty points that can't buy anything interesting ?

As far as the interaction with JMods, this does not seem to be very likely to happen. Last year we were promised exclusive Premier members newsletters, that gave more information about upcoming game content and so forth. I received two of the "Newsletters" and both contained information that had already been put on the regular website news areas.

I guess the big question here is:

How is the wide wide world of sports can you even remotely begin to tell me that paying 50% more than month to month is justified by the incredibly unimpressive list of "Perks" you are offering?

Hi Jagex,

As a long time member I was promised my membership prise would stay €4.60 a month when I became a gold member last year. Now you want me to pay 74.99 (as if that’s not 75 :P ) that’s €6.25 a month. I honestly think I am better off returning to become a “regular” member and buy me for 20 euros of gold coins. I currently have 419k of loyalty points were I really can’t find anything worth trading for. Loyalty points have been useless to me from the beginning as you need way to much of them to buy an override if it is even possible to buy the preferred item from points. I would love to be a gold member as I have liked to be a member for almost 7 years now but… can’t you sweeten the deal? To be honest I am only interested in Runecoins and a prolonged membership. I like to choose my own gold membership reward with these coins. Last year’s 2000 coins were my main reason to become a gold member.

Hope you're throwing in some of them runecoins sometime soon. I did like that 2k very much and my loyalty point 'demand' isn't nearly that high. But if you were to advertise that /all/ sgs items will be purchasable with loyalty points..

And if you're going to interact with the community/reply to questions more, why isn't the prime runecoin question being addressed at all? An acknowledgement of the existence of the question is a good start even if there's nothing you know right now.

Thirdly, I'm against a visible caste system but providing that with reason requires a whole topic. My ideas dump thread

I cannot see the point of promoting money grabbing useless status. I just want to play my usual game and meet with my clan friends and do not want to have to spend extra money gain access or frivolous privileges. Already I have been inconvencienced so much trying get to get access with the site demanding I upgrade my java - which I did and still no access through that channel. then I loaded the client which worked until today when every time I try to log in I get a pop up demanding I pay extra and choose Gold or silver VIP. disgusting greed
