Even today, ppl use salt and leaf or grass as food as lots of provinces havent been given relief goods yet. So thats almost like a week already without help! Even the ppl who give the relief goods steal some of it before they give it out to ppl.

Its just so sad to see them like this ):


lol@ 100m pesos. thats pretty much nothing :D at least when it comes to such a catastrophe

Mod William, I hope you understand, all your donations wont go to the people but to the government, I beg you to watch over how you send you donations, our government is corrupt and all of other countries' relief goods were just stored at the warehouses and never sent to the people dying out there, I had my family died there and know this, I lived in samar, which is a neighbor to leyte, where haiyan struck the city of tacloban. Soy filipino samareno, I speak english a little as if I only speak spanish and winaray. Please watch over the donations, our president is ignorant and we cannot trust the government as also they stole money from us, but we are not rebels, we obey their rules, if you ever going to ban me I am free. I just want to help my countrymen to free from this hunger and corruption. But I know there were US, British, japanese and spanish soldiers are helping us now but to be honest alot of people here are shy, it let show that our government does not really care to our people but the ones who care from us are allies (foreigners), my country is rich, but what keeps us poor is because the poor management from the government and the president. They are not real leaders but businessmen. So Jagex. I need your trust, watch your donations that it wont fall to the hands of the corrupt leader. Please make it straight to the people who are in need. Our people are shy, the whole world will see how our president is ignorant and how corrupt our leaders are. I lived on samar del norte, a region of samar that is north of leyte, it is an island that is separated from leyte, you can check my internet Address that I am not making this up, my family died there from starvation, and I had survived the horrors there, The internet here is not strong and the electricity here is limited samar del norte did not recieved much damage as western and eastern samar and leyte. I do not want to remember what I had seen, you can see here pregnant woman walking, and injured people fleeing The world is mine for the taking!

BeniVidiVici, yes i do have a Bit of money But wish it is more but i will get there oneday too a very good amount. :) why most people Bullying me , ( i Get Told To learn English when i am ,learn to spell when i can , also Get Told To Not Beg when i am Not , Told Not To Troll when i Don't ) and i Don't Have many friends (why No one like Me) But This is Not Rubbish it's the Truth sadly.

What I would like to know (and apologies if it has been answered elsewhere) is: Will Jagex be allowing the charities to claim
Gift Aid
on the donations where possible?

For those that aren't aware, Gift Aid allows charities to claim an additional 25p for every £1.00 donated from the government. In return the donor (in this case Jagex) agrees not to write off the charitable donations against their tax bill for the year.

Hopefully Jagex will be using this to boost the amount these causes will receive.

You can't choose which thats why its best to donate to the charity of your
choice directly.
They will more than likely claim it back at the end of the tax year via
some means of tax relief.
50K to them is a pittance on their 76 mil profit most of which comes from
those with access to RL Cash buying gold and xp on SOF.
I'm pro charity but don't need Jagex telling me where to donate to, this
is another self publicity drive where MMG gets his face in the news handing
over those extra large cheques with Runescape all over it. .And now the end is near its time to raise the final curtain.
Regrets i have a few, but i did it my way.

I'm almost crying of fun when someone thinks that this would be corrupted. If it was corrupted and they receive any money from this then they would put their own virtual (created by themselves) in it. And I love the fact they are doing this!

Hello everyone,

I'm against some of these charities, not for the reason that these are bad charities, but that some of them give only support to people in the UK! The most of the players of RS are not from the UK (such as me; I'm Dutch) and some of them live countries with less welfare than the UK or the rest of Europe and US. Shouldn't we need to help them first?
So I would be plaised if these charities only give money to international organisations (ngo or a multilateral organisation).
Or just that the most of the money goes to support the poor people in the Philippines.
