I have an idea that many people on this thread and all across the land of Gielinor as we know as Runescape will be fond of. This title of the thread caught my eye, Blast from the Past!
We all know the old armour looks are in the past, but many and maybe the majority of us would like to have the opportunity to be able to show case these looks once again!
This is a way that people with nostalgia will get what they want, and Jagex will get what they want...Money!
I am not the first to have this idea and I do not claim ownership of this idea. But I am sure Jagex has the capability of putting the old armour looks into Solomon's General Store for us to pay a price to be able to have these looks. Now.. Anyone can purchase these over-rides, but only the people who actually have the armor (and wearing it) can show case the old looks. With the Dwarven-Rocket Teleport (whatever it is called), it can only be used if you are wearing the dwarven over-ride..So therefore, Jagex obviously has the ability to make it where it only works if it knows you are wearing it. Jagex should have the ability to make the customization work where it knows when you are actually wearing the armour in game, allowing you to showcase your old nostalgia armour! This way, it prevents people who are wearing Bandos, Runite, or any other type of armour, being able to walk around and claim to be in the almighty Torva, Pernix, or Virtus old looks.
Many people would love this idea so that way it is a win win situation. We get the old looks that so many desperately want, and Jagex gets money when people buy the overhauls.
They can even be sold in sets such as a Nex Package that gives the overhaul for Torva, Pernix, and Virtus and then you can have the Classic God Wars Dungeon package that works for Bandos and Armadyl armor, along with the powerful Godswords and the Zamorakian Spear. I will make a post for all the other armour.
